Dr. Latha is one of the few doctors in India, who is specially qualified and trained in Obstetric Medicine. She has extensive experience in Medical disorders in Pregnancy (high risk pregnancy) both in United Kingdom and India.Dr. Latha has received MRCOG (United Kingdom, 1992) & MRCP (Dublin, 1994).She has also been awarded the fellowship of RCOG (FRCOG). Dr. Latha is one of the first in India to have combined clinics for medical disorders in pregnancy like Diabetes & Pregnancy clinic, recurrent pregnancy loss clinic, etc. She has recently been awarded INDIA POSITIVE AWARD by CNN-IBN for reaching out services.She has initiated skill training in emergency obstetric care, which is a very successful ongoing program for doctors through the Bangalore RCOG Trust and Bangalore Society of Obstetricians & Gynecologists.She has special interest in Obstetric intensive care and emergency Obstetric care and has treated many critically ill patients. Her main interest in the field of Gynecology is vaginal surgeries and she has skill and experience in removing large uteri vaginally. She has published many papers in international journals and has contributed to chapters in both undergraduate and postgraduate textbooks. A person with a good sense of humour, she is a trained Carnatic singer, a dramatist, writes poems and plays and loves cooking and travelling
