Dr. Debasish Datta Majumder

It was nice meeting Dr. Debasish Datta Majumder. He explained my ear problem clearly and was very helpful. I would rate his friendliness and clarity 5 out of 5.

I have Consulted Dr.Debashish Datta Majumdar ENT Specialist of Manipal Hospital Varthur Road, Bangalore for loud snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) that I have been suffering from for many years. My experience with the doctor was unique that he diagnosed the issue well and explained it to us in an easy to understand manner. He is pleasant and patient friendly. I have subsequently undergone the laser surgery as advised by him, successfully. The surgery is simple, but under GA. As the anesthesia doctors of the hospital are equally capable as that of the team of ENT doctors of Dr.Debashish, I felt confident and safe.

Now it is more than 25 days after surgery. The snoring is more or less gone and I feel quite comfortable while sleeping even without a CPAP machine which I have been using for atkeast five years. But for Dr Debashish and his team of doctors and staff this would not have been possible. I have no hesitation in recommending him for treatment of snoring and OSA.

Consulted doctor for a slight discoloration of the tongue. This gentleman took some time and did some observation. Without any written prescription and diagnosis, we were asked to go to MRI scan room to get some scan done. We thought it would be some minor test which we get done instantaneously. The folks in MRI scan room told that scanning is only available with a day or more prior appointment. And the scan this doctor suggested was of entire head scan and tongue etc. The procedure was expected to cost around 10k+. We booked an appointment without any prescription or at least what the doctor was trying to diagnose.

I took my husband to Dr. Majumder for a cough that wouldn't go away. We were really dissatisfied with his clinical examination - he didn't use a stethoscope to check whether there was congestion (the cough had been there for nearly 3 weeks). As an ENT he did what ENTs do - check nose and throat. He gave meds for reflux after we clearly stated that was unlikely to be the cause for the cough given our lifestyle (which he asked). When I said I was worried that it could be something more serious (I have a Public Health background), he just laughed it off! ***** ******** **** **** * ******* ******** ******* **** * ***** **** ******* ** **** *** * ***** ******** ******** *** ***** *** ********** * **** ****** ***** A course of anti-allergics and anti-reflux meds were prescribed. Neither of them helped. Finally my husband went back to his old GP, *** ******** ** **** ********** ******* who cured him. Extremely disappointing experience with the doctor, would not recommend him at all!

Consulted the doctor for my kids adenoid issue** ****** **** ********** ** ******* ******* **** ****** **** *** ******** No alternative medicine or any remedies suggested.. No chest examination.. Suggested X-ray straight away and looks very keen to get surgery done... Over the phone he was explaining about some package deal with various surgery's to some one ***** ******* **** ***** * Not at all satisfied and strongly not recommended *** ****** Hardly bothered to listen to any complaints and did not give much time..

We met this doctor for my son who was having some cold infection and due to which his lymph node was swollen. ** ****** ******* *** ******** *** didn’t even hear the symptoms which my husband was explaining and straight away he came to solution about removing the lymph node under general anaesthesia. I found this really weird and we came back and thought of meeting some other doc *** ***** ** ** **** ** **** **** **** ***** *** **** ** *** *** ****** ***** ********* *** ** ***** *** ***** **** *** ******** ** ***** ** ** **** *** ***** **** ******** **** ** ** *** *** **** ** ******** **** ********** I don’t recommend this doctor.

I had been to this doctor for a very bad ear and thought pain he did not even allow me explain my problem and just gave me tablets for 1 week I went on a follow-up after a week ** ** **** *** *** ******** ** ***** ** **** ***** * **** ** ********** ** ************* I am sorry I can not help you. u need to check for swine flue. I was dispersed and cam to see another sent in my native I explained the whole story he diagnosed my and tole that my thought is fully infected and have a IV injection and after 1 injection I found feal the difference. my experience with this doctor is very bad. he very busy ** ** *** **** **** ** ***** ******** *** *******

I booked him for my husband who had small cyst on the lip and the first thing he recommended was surgery. We went for the surgery and now even after 3 months post-op my husband has a small swelling and numbness in the surgical area. Should have taken a second opinion instead of blindly trusting him.

Very detailed diagnostics and explained need for surgery and risks for surgery. The hospital has enough advanced equipment to get quick results and other doctors and anesthesia specialists who swing to action in time. I really appreciate the doctor and his support staff and his colleagues who saved my father. My father was already a cancer and heart patient who was suffering from sinus related problem at that time.
