My recent experience with Dr. CN Patil.
It was during month of July when my Mom was diagnosed with Cancer 4th stage, I had visited couple of Doctors before I could freeze a Doctor to start the treatment.
I met CN Patil, who sounded very kind and helpful and during my first visit. This gentleman suggested us to start Chemotherapy and assured that he can handle this case which very common for him. Also he was keen to know, if I am holding Medical insurance and what is the limit. Finally we were informed, to start the treatment immediately. Initially I had to pay RS.60,000 for the first time, which includes Rs.30,000 for Chemotherapy and remaining Rs.40000 for Chemo port and other expenses. After we finished the surgery and chemo, I was given a bill for Rs.1,12,000. The billing department dint had any explanation for this and I was asked to approach CN Patil and he gave me a response ‘’Sorry looks like we gave imported chemo which costed you Rs.60,000, for next we will try domestic medicine’’. By now I had already lost faith on this on him.
Without any option I still continued with the two cycles of chemo under his supervision. By now I had exhausted my medical insurance coverage. I was informed that I will have to go for different chemo medicine if which is required during this stage, which will cost me more than 1.2 lakh for each chemo or continue with same since I could not afford that.
Later I had to look for different Hospital; I had lost all confidence on this Doctor since continued changing medicine during both the chemo and for 3rd Chemo he wanted me to go for Avastin which will cost more than a lakh. This person dint had any feeling what the patents family is going through.
Finally I moved to a different hospital after all the experiment which he did.
Now I am treating my mom in a different hospital where I can afford the same chemo within my limit Rs.75000.
It was unfortunate that I had to again visit Apollo hospital for some clarification with different doctor, however I could not meet any other than CN Patil, since he had handled my mother’s case earlier.
In my entire life I have never come across any Doctor who can be so unprofessional. He gave me a lecture for not continuing the treatment under him. Below were his comments.
• We had AC lobby for our patents to wait which cannot be compared to a place where I am treating my mother.
• We have nurse who can give personal care where as the other hospital won’t even touch the patents
• He is spending 10 to 15 minutes for consultation which cannot be the case with my doctor.
• I have 100 patents to see every day, I can make a choice whom I need to be treating.
In spite of requesting him to stop talking nonsense, he continued with his unprofessional discussion. This was just because, he was aware that I have already exhausted my medical coverage and now I cannot get my mom at Apollo. In a very unprofessional way he asked me to walk out and made a statement that he has a choice to select the patent and even if Management forces he would still not agree for anything.
He completely sounded as though he owns the Hospital and in spite of spending close to 2 lakh, still I have not given him enough business in his language.
He has not done any charity work, with all respect we have paid Apollo for the given treatment. Just because of few people like him we loss all the confidence on hospital.
I pray nobody should go through all this when their family is in such a difficult situation. As a human being we extend support even for a stranger, If cant help at least we shouldn’t be hurting others. My request to all the people who would like to take care of their dear ones please take them to a professional Doctor who can support you when you are in need. If they cannot support atleast they don’t have rights to hurt anybody’s feelings.
Please never approach an unprofessional and money oriented Doctors like C N Patil who make choices for treating patent based on their own personal interest.
I never had any personal complaint again Apollo but this experience gave me a shock which I am still not able to accept, when things are not good at home.
I still have all respect to the Doctors who are helping people irrespective of religion/cast/financial status. I still consider them as God because they give life people when we lose all hopes for survival.

For anybody it's really heartbreaking to know that your own family member has been diagnosed with cancer!!! It all started as this year was born..... Happened all of a sudden triggering lots of questions in mind...what is it....why to us.....what next...where to go....how to treat....really went clueless! It was only then we happened to meet Dr. C.N. Patil! I can't forget that moment! ** *** ** ** *** ******* *** ********* ** *** **** ***** *********** *** ***** The confidence what he gave us on the very first day itself was miraculous! Such an amazing personality yet stays humble and down to earth! Definitely not an exaggeration, it's a blessing that we got to meet him! Every chemo sitting was made cozy and comfortable through his ever-smiling face, caring and compassionate words! Not only that, he responds to all the queries suggesting the necessary treatment whenever needed despite his busy schedule. Yes, he recommends the **** treatment, and it's all got over by June end. Now, once again we are a happy family! We'll remain indebted to him forever! May God bless him immensely to render his noble service to treat many more who are in need!!!

Visited Dr. Patil for a second opinion on behalf of my friend, as many suggested his name and the visit indeed was worth it. Doctor is very friendly and compassionate and explained every bit of information I needed which the primary oncologist did not even after a week of diagnosis. Doctor is humble and honest and answered everything I asked and was patient enough until I calmed down to discuss few more sensitive questions about the treatment and facts. I really wished my friend could get treated by him, maybe he could have survived but for various reasons, he couldn't. But I really recommend doctor as the just very visit with him gave me such positive energy and strength and confidence. Whatever the result would be, but with a doctor like him, definitely patients would feel a lot more confident and strong and have more hope towards life as doctor's relationship with patients is a crucial factor, especially in cancer cases. Dr. Patil is one of those rare wonderful doctors. Thanks a lot doctor. Keep up the great service 🙏

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR & ALWAYS APPRECIATE HIS TRUE APPROACH WITH THE PATIENT. My first visit during 2016...he planned my treatment so well that many doctors advised for surgeries but Dr.Patil solved with radiation and immunotherapy. Dr.Patil is unbiased and bold enough to put across the fact of the disease. Some times one may feel he is cut throat but to attack this life cutting disease one should be strong and no empathy. I myself being his patient since 2016 some times feel he is straight forward but let me tell all the cancer fighters and survivors being soft and sympathizing in this case does not work.
Dr.Patil motivates but in a strong way which is what i feel has strengthen me. Thanks sir.
During July i was also covid positive and i can not forget how he motivated me and daily 3 times followed up with my parameters like temperature, oxygen saturation levels, diet etc.
I have also recommended many patients to Dr.Patil of whom some were financially weaker during 2017 whom doctor considered and helped them during treatment period and made their treatment smooth.
i wish Almighty bless him and his loved ones. Thanks a lot to Almighty for helping me find a good doctor who is helping and guiding me improve quality of my life.
Visited For Hodgkin lymphoma
Two years back my lone daughter was diagnosed with Hodkins lymphoma a lymph node cancer. By the time we came to know she had almost crossed 4th stage of cancer. It was like an end of life for us. Whatever it may come I wanted to treat my only daughter from the best oncologist in Bangalore and then visited few doctors , collected information available across my circle and then finally approached Dr C.N.Patil. Gentleman gave us counselling and explained the treatment with giving us confidence that this is curable,he answered our all doubts so calmly. This confidence and attitude itself gave us a big strength to face the struggle. She started showing improvements by gaining weight after each therapy and doctor gave us confidence that case can be controlled with only completion of chemo cycles and no need of other treatments. She completed 6cycles of chemo and became normal. She gained her lost weight of 10kgs and with consideration from college she was given permission to write exams in spite 3months absence and she completed her degree scoring well. Now she is leading normal life.
Dr. C N Patil is a very good doctor. He was very helpful and soft spoken during the consultation.
