Dr. SARAVANAN is a SENIOR INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGIST AND CARDIAC ELECTROPHYSIOLOGIST with 32 years of experience, most of which in the UK and US.He qualified with MBBS and MD general Medicine from Madurai Medical College, Madurai and was awarded Gold Medal in MD general Medicine by Association of Physicians of India. He then went to the UK, where he trained in Royal Brompton Hospital, London (Coronary intervention and imaging), John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford (Pacing) and Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester (Cardiac Electrophysiology and Heart Transplant).He holds a PhD from the University of Manchester in Cardiac Cellular Electrophysiology, which was funded by a prestigious British Heart Foundation grant.He has worked as Consultant Cardiologist and Clinical Service lead in the NHS UK and as Director of Cardiac services at a number of Christian Mission Institutes (Bangalore Baptist Hospital, Scudder Memorial Hospital) and Corporate hospitals (Fortis Group of Hospitals, Chennai; MIOT hospital Chennai) in India.He is currently HOD and Director of super specialties at East point Hospital and has his own evening practice at Virgo Hear Center in Brigade Signature Towers, Bangalore.
