Dr. Nitin Shetty is an accomplished Vitreoretinal surgeon, Medical retina and Uveitis specialist. He has served as Consultant in the Department of Vitreoretina Services at the prestigious Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai for more than a decade. He has extensive experience in diagnosing and managing retinal diseases and has published textbooks and articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of the All India Ophthalmology Society, American Academy of Opthalmology, Uveitis Society of India and International Society for Clinical and Electrophysiology of Vision (ISCEV).Dr Nitin S Shetty did his initial medical and postgraduate MS training at B J Medical College Pune wherein he obtained a 'Distinction' in Ophthalmology. Thereafter he did his Vitreo Retina fellowship training at the prestigious Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. He was awarded the 'VT Joshi' award for the best vitreo retina fellow for his batch. He continued as a Vitreoretina consultant at Sankara Nethralaya for a decade - from 1994 to 2003-before moving to Bangalore in 2003. He worked for a short period as a Visiting Scholar at the Chinese University of HongKong. He is working as a Vitreoretina Consultant at Manipal Hospital, Bangalore.Blitz Clinic

I lost my eyes when I was 13 and my retina was injured severely and I was unable to see anything on right side and one day I visited retina clinic and doctor said that I need to do the surgery immediately and I was admitted in Manipal hospital and surgery was done and after the surgery I was again suffering from different pain and 5 months later again I underwent another surgery but now I am able to see and now I am 26 years old and thanks to DR Nithin shetty and I need to actually thank the entire clinic staffs because without them nothing was possible especially Lakshmi mam in the entrance her kindness towards the patients is next level and once again thank you Doctor you have played an important role in my life
