My Basset hound had a case of intervertricular disc prolapse. My son took the dog to him and he recommended Flexadin and Dolocarp. That evening I tried to procure the medicines but found them unavailable in six stores that sell vet medicines. I reluctantly decided to contact the doctor for an alternative. It was quite late, almost 9.20 pm. On apologizing for the late call and explaining my problem, this veterinarian whom I have never met in my life & to whom I was speaking for the first time, rudely yelled at me on the phone - "In which language should I explain to your son and you that if the medicines I prescribed are not available you should contact me?" I tried to tell him "But that's exactly what I'm doing." Following which I listened to him yelling expletives unbecoming of a professional person. He shouted about how my son had "wasted" 20 minutes of his time that morning! Hello? Is that not what you charged my son Rs 400/- for? No number of degrees you hold allows you to abuse an elderly man on the phone whom you have never met. And that too for no reason whatsoever. If the call was a late one, please say so. It certainly wasn't the late call which appeared to have got him into a foul mood. So let me ask him on this forum - "What was your problem doctor? Did I provoke you in any way? As a veterinarian you used language that no woman or child should ever have to listen to. A degree isn't enough. Learn some basic human courtesy. There was not a thing me or my son did or said that should have provoked you to behave without basic human decency. The medical shop attendant is my witness. Apart fro that, why do you express such hatred towards dogs? Is it something to do with your religious beliefs? No dog-owner will trust you after this, believe me. I am surprised you chose to become a veterinarian.
Save your pet and DO NOT get any operations done here. Azeem butchered my cat. She died of complications from a spay operation by Azeem after suffering for 5 days.
He did not weigh the cat before anesthesia and she never recovered from it fully. She took 2 days to wake up, refused to eat, developed infections, and was in constant pain. When I wanted to take the cat to other hospitals, they needed to know what injections were given to the cat. Azeem REFUSED to share the information, saying other hospitals are out to cause trouble.
Obviously, he has something to hide about his practice and experience. My cat paid the price of proof.
The spay incision he made was 2 inches long, and crudely stitched up. I got successive spay operations for my remaining cats by another vet, who made less than 5 mm incisions. They were eating and drinking within a few hours after surgery.
His clinic does not have a working wash basin! Very questionable hygiene of the clinic, to say the least.
He also charges twice the amount that other vets or clinics do. He is out running a business, simple as that, through animals. Their welfare is secondary.
My biggest regret in 2015 is that I paid this man to butcher my happy, trusting cat in the worst way possible.
