Magpie Speech Language Intervention Services, JP Nagar 7 Phase

My son has a stuttering problem due to which we approached Magpie. The appointments were provided after 3-4 weeks as they claimed to be busy and backlogged. the initial appointment was with Namrata, where she spoke to my son and said that he has to undergo an evaluation. She did not charge us on that day.. But when we returned to the clinic for my son's evaluation, it was done by some other person and charged Rs.2000! which I assume was the consultation charges of Namrata. And they said that my son has very mild symptoms of Stuttering and will need some therapy sessions. And then we were told that all their therapists were busy and the sessions will be scheduled after a month or two. And when the sessions started, we found that it was again some young girls handling the sessions. Parents were not allowed to be with the kid during these sessions. From my son, we got to know that they spoke to him, asked him a few things *** ********** *** ** ******* ****** ******* **** ******** We continued these Therapy sessions for 4 to 5 times and were being charged for each session. ** ***** **** ***** *** ** *********** ** ****** ** ***** ********* ** *** ******* **** we requested for a change of the therapist thinking that a change might some results. ***** ******* ******** **** ***** *** ****** ** *** ********** When we informed them of this, they said that my son has NO problem with his speech and that he was Ok and did not need any more sessions. After about 6-8 months, now my son stutters even more than before and is losing confidence in his speech and his grades at school dropped drastically. We again approached Magpie but Namrata was never reachable. She never picks any calls or answers her phone. After repeated calls at the clinic, we got them to schedule a call from Namrata. We were told that my son was not practicing a few things at home as per their advise and thus the problem persisted. But except a very few basic corrections like breathing properly, nothing else was adviced/informed to him. We wanted him to again go thru the sessions but were not entertained saying that all their therapists were now very busy and not able to schedule us for atleast 3-4 months! We spent quite some money ** ****** ** ****** ******* at Magpie. *** ******* ***** ******** ** *** ****** ***** ** ********* This is our real experience at Magpie/Namrata.

Visited the dr about 5 months ago, wherein i was told to wait for few months to see whether therapy is needed or not and also no therapist was free that time.

Since last month i hAve been really trying to connect again and again but no response from the clinic as to when can i visit the dr.

I would love to do my therepy here itself for my kid. Would be glad if dr can accommodate though.
