We visited the doctor a couple of times in the year 2019 for me and for my mother-in-law. We have had a wonderful experience with Dr. Nayak and his team. Our surgeries went well and the recovery process was fast.

In the first instance, I was diagnosed with Pleomorphic Adenoma 8 months after I became a mom. I was clueless about the nature of the tumor and whom to consult. My husband found Dr. Nayak’s profile on Practo and convinced me to visit him at MACS Clinic. Dr. Nayak was very patient, polite and answered all our queries in detail. He said that although my tumor was slow-growing and benign, there was always a chance (however small it may be) for it to turn malignant. He emphasized that ‘early detection leading to early treatment ensures a higher success rate of total recovery’.

Dr. Nayak’s staff at MACS helped us coordinate our stay at Fortis Hospital, where the surgery took place. The surgery went smoothly. Preserving the facial nerves was the most delicate and challenging part of this surgery. Since it was partly a robotic surgery, the recovery process was fast and I was back to my routine life within a few days. Post-surgery, the doctor and his team were very supportive and ensured that everything went well for me and that I was feeling better.

We visited Dr. Nayak for the second time for my mother-in-law who had a sizable and growing cyst on her thyroid gland. He suggested a total Thyroid Ectomy. He assured us that her body would function normally even without the thyroid gland by regularly taking a medication. Once again Dr. Nayak and his team performed a successful robotic surgery, which took several hours. Pre and post-surgery, the doctor has been very supportive. He has always given us very honest and clear answers to all our queries.

It’s been over 4 years since our surgeries were done; both of us are doing well presently.

We approached Dr Nayak to get a consult on the necessity of chemotherapy for my mother. She underwent a hemicolectomy due to an adenocarcinoma. The medical oncologist that we were asked to visit, didn't give a very firm indication about the necessity of chemo therapy and we had got conflicting opinions through the process. We wanted to clear the air. Since Dr Nayak is quite reputed, we approached him. Off the bat, he already warned us that he wouldn't take someone else's case. So, throughout the consult, there was a tone of dismissiveness. Very evidently, he couldn't wait to be done with us. But it's my mother's life. So, we probed. But again, there was no conclusive recommendation. We get that doctors don't like to step on someone else's shoes and will have to be objective. But even the objective opinion was neither here nor there. For someone who approached him hoping for clarity, we left his room more confused and lost. It was a disappointing experience.

My father was diagnosed with DLBCL last year and during that time he was treated by Dr. Nisha Vishnu for his radiation therapy. One of the most important traits of a good doctor apart from their treatment is how well they connect with the patient and the caregivers. Without a doubt I can say Dr. Nisha Vishnu tops the list.

Her ability to cover all aspects of radiation therapy and any other issues that might arise in the future is incredible. All this was done even before the treatment started which helped us gain the best knowledge possible about the treatment, post effects and future concerns. She promised that my father’s pain would reduce by the eight day and that’s exactly what happened. That shows the clarity and the perfect analysis of the approach towards the treatment.

From the beginning she is very articulate, friendly, calm, assuring and most important took the time to answer each and every query we had. She is always smiling, very approachable and of course extremely knowledgeable in her field. Even post treatment she would visit us when we were in the hospital for chemotherapy. I have approached her numerous times on issues not directly concerned with the treatment and she’s always been there for me. We are extremely happy and thankful for her and the wonderful team. I had booked appointment with doctor Sandeep Nayak based on the positive reviews on Google and Practo. The appointment booking is very organized with well mannered people in the reception.I took the appointment with Dr. Sandeep Nayak for my mother who was having severe stomach pain and the CT scan suggested Lymph nodes and mild metastatis. Doctor carefully examined all the diagnostic documents and listened to all our concerns. He was really polite and explained us what course of action we have to take and cleared our doubts. My mother felt really relived after meeting the doctor, and you will find very few doctors like Mr. Sandeep Nayak who is so qualified but down to earth, where he spends quality time with the patient evaluating the problem in detail.
