Visited Dr. Lokesh A Veerappa (Orthopedic surgeon) For Knee Pain

I do not recommend the doctor

Hoped for better: Treatment satisfaction

Had been to the doctor for my dad's knee pain issue. Doctor was friendly in explaining the issue. ********** *** **** ***** ** ******* *** ********** ********* ** ******** *** * ********** He suggested for an injection to the knee which will cost around 15k and which is expected to provide relief atleast for two years which we opted in. ***** ****** *** ********* ** *** *** *** ******* **** ****** **** *** *** **** ** **** *** *** **** *** ** *** ***** You can imagine from a person walking to the clinic and not at all able to walk. it took a different doctors consultation and several sessions of physiotherapy to get him to walk again. ** *** ***** ** ******* when called the doctor to check on the issue, he was very unwelcoming and unresponsive and didn't provide any help. This is very unprofessional behaviour *** * ******* **** ** *** ***** ***** ******** **** ** *** *** ****** ***** ************ ***** he could do was to show some courtesy. **** *** ** **** *** *****

Dr. Lokesh A Veerappa replied

What your father had, could be an allergic reaction to the injection. We have been using knee injection for over 10years and had one or two such allergic reactions. Calling the doctor is an inappropriate action as he will be occupied in patient care, surgeries etc. I do not encourage phone calls as it is not recommended by the Medical Council of India and any mistaken information passed on makes doctor liable. This is what I tell all patients, that they can WhatsApp me and I'll get back to them later. I've never been discourteous to my patients however they behave.If you find my action inappropriate suit yourself.
