When my wife and I embarked on our journey of planning for pregnancy, we began searching for the **** gynaecologist in and around Bangalore. After reading several reviews online, we came across Dr. Asha Shanbhag. The moment we met her, we knew we had made the right choice. The warmth with which Dr. Asha Shanbhag greets every patient creates an immediate sense of comfort and positivity, something that is so rare and so deeply needed during such an emotional journey.

At our very first scan, we received the news that we were expecting DCDA twins. We had absolutely no idea what that meant, and honestly, we were terrified. But Dr. Asha Shanbhag patiently explained everything, the type of twins, the possible complications, and what to expect, in a way that helped us truly understand and mentally prepare. We went home, did our research, and slowly began to feel ready for the road ahead.

I also want to specially mention the incredible staff at Asian Health Clinic and Diagnostic Centre Shravya, Divya, and RangaNayaki. We interacted most with RangaNayaki, and her warmth, positivity, and genuine care made every visit feel reassuring. The entire team is a true reflection of the doctor they work with Dr. Asha Shanbhag.

As our pregnancy progressed, we learned through our research that normal delivery in twin pregnancies is rare. Dr. Asha Shanbhag had also mentioned this early on. We had mentally accepted a C-section and had even scheduled one for February 12th. On February 10th, we came in for a final growth scan and that’s when everything changed.

Both babies were in cephalic position. Dr. Asha Shanbhag called us both in immediately and gently asked if we were willing to try for a normal delivery. We were overwhelmed and did not know what to say. That evening, I went back to the clinic to meet Dr. Asha Shanbhag again, and she patiently answered every single doubt I had , with honesty, compassion, and most importantly, hope.

My wife was admitted on the night of February 11th, and induction began on the 12th. Dr. Asha Shanbhag came to visit us personally and once again gave us the confidence that we were in safe hands. I stayed by my wife’s side throughout the entire day. At around 5:30 PM, the labour intensified and she was moved to the labour ward. I prayed. I waited. I held my breath.

Both babies and my wife were perfectly healthy. A normal delivery of twins, something we never imagined possible. This miracle happened because of Dr. Asha Shanbhag’s skill, courage, and unwavering belief in us.

My husband and I went to Dr. Asha Shabhag for pre-pregnancy checkup. She explained the whole procedure in detail. Even through I have PCOD and Fibroids, she always gave positive energy that helped us relax as expecting parents. She doesn't recommend any scans or tests unless absolutely necessary. She is a wonderful doctor and would absolutely recommend her to all women out there trying to get pregnant.
