Visited Dr. Parul Mathur (Psychiatrist)
I've been working with Dr Parul for a year. I'd approached Dr Parul due to a post-concussion syndrome I was struggling with. Traumatic brain injuries need you to be very empathetic towards the patient's symptoms because everyone goes through difficult & unique challenges (which are not easily understood by most neurologists)- Parul offered exactly that. I found her extremely well versed with how to deal with a patient with TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). Concussions are functional injuries more than structural injuries so while everything in your brain structure remains the same, how your brain functions really changes - and giving me an understanding of that, and ensuring I take the right steps is what Parul did extremely well.
Most importantly, she became my care coordinator - she led me to the right neurologist, the right occupational therapist, and ensured she was on top of the overall care that I was getting.
It took me 6+ months to get back to all my activities, but I am fully back today in terms of work, play & in general most things in life (fingers crossed!) - and the chief architect of all of this has been Parul. Can't thank her enough!

Happy with: Doctor friendlinessExplanation of the health issue
I have been suffering from social anxiety generalized anxiety for almost 10 years without knowing about it i thought like weirdness is my nature it cant be changed because of anxiety i get addicted to alcohol and smoking i thought my life will never get better it will get worse and worse so i thought there is no solution i didn't even know whats happening to me always racing thoughts stomach issues i almost thought of leaving everything and going somewhere where no one knows me i just wanted to get away i felt lonely even when i had so many good people around me somehow i searched my symptoms in ai apps and i saw psychiatrist recommendation i thought psychiatry is not real and i had no other solutions so i just thought of giving it a try . I still remember my first clonozapem use i felt so calm i never imagined ill experience this calmness again it was sos so i used in emergency i took other everyday medicines and for another 2 3 months my anxiety was it was mixed somedays felt good somedays felt like meds are not working but as time passed i started excersize and meditation now im much much better im lowering my does every month i still get scared of thinking what if it gets bad again but then i use breathing techniques and it gets bette
So tablets do work but you have to give it 6 months be consistent dont stop medication in middle it will only make things worse
Once i thought psychiatry is not real i cant believe how much my thoughts changed now im really thankful to my psychiatrist im enjoying my life again with the loved ones yeah 👍 if anyone if suffering with mental health issues please get helt there is solution it just takes time and patience
