We are deeply grateful to Dr. Sarat Chandra and his entire team for the exceptional care and treatment provided to my father during his battle with Stage 3 Esophageal Cancer.

My father was diagnosed in November 2025 after experiencing severe difficulty swallowing food and frequent vomiting. The cancer had already spread to the regional lymph nodes, and naturally, our family was extremely worried.

He initially underwent neoadjuvant chemotherapy and radiation therapy as part of a carefully planned treatment approach.

From day one, Dr. Sarat Chandra carefully monitored every scan, every response to treatment.

After months of treatment and PET scan evaluations, we finally received the go-ahead for surgery at the end of April. The surgery was successfully performed on 5th May, during which the affected esophagus along with residual cancer was removed. We truly believe the surgery has given him a new lease on life.

The post-surgery period was the most frightening phase for us. We were anxious about complications such as infection, pneumonia, and voice changes. However, Dr. Sarat Chandra and his team managed everything with incredible precision and confidence. My father stayed in the hospital for around 8–9 days and was discharged in stable condition.

The recovery process was handled very carefully with regular follow-ups every few days. Gradually, he progressed from water and juices to solid food. Today, just 24 days after surgery, he is off the feeding tube and PICC line, eating normally again, and slowly returning to his pre-disease lifestyle. Watching this recovery feels nothing short of miraculous.

Dr. Sarat Chandra planned every stage of treatment meticulously and performed the surgery like a true professional. His confidence, detailed study, and patient-focused care gave our family immense strength throughout this journey.

We truly cannot thank him and his team enough. We are speechless seeing my father slowly return to normal life again.
