I was suffering from tooth pain and bleeding gums and the doctor examined my teeth and said it was a gum infection. He did scaling only for 10 min and suggested removal of 2 wisdom teeth ( lower) and root canal treatment for both molar teeth ( next to the lower wisdom teeth)
After I got the scaling done. I used medicine but still had the terrible pain for the next two days.
