Dr. Ashish Pokharkar is a GEM of a person! I was diagnosed with sinonasal carcinoma (a rare kind of cancer) in July 2021 and Dr. Ashish treated me for the same. Unfortunately before him I met an ENT surgeon who misleaded me under the name of mucormycosis (which was actually a cancer) and gave me wrong treatment. After we got to know about the cancer we met Dr. Ashish through another oncologist and he guided us through the entire treatment. He is very friendly, humble, skilled professional who understands the patient's state of mind and supports him to get through the entire course with confidence. I had to undergo a complicated skull surgery as well and he got the best neurosurgeon for this. There was also a lump in my breast and just by physical diagnosis with his expertise he was sure that it was non cancerous. My surgery took around 8 hrs and he was present in the operation theatre even after his part was done to make sure everything goes well. He is one of the very rare doctors who takes the complete responsibility of the patient. From choosing the best hospital, involving the best surgeons, skillfully performing the surgery, till the patient goes back home with a smiling face, he takes cares of everything.

I was fortunate to know his wife Dr. Shital is an ENT surgeon and they both worked together along with the neurosurgeon on the day of my surgery. They both visited me daily till my discharge date and made sure I was doing well, even though it used to get late for them to reach their home at night. Like a family they both cared for me, made sure the hospital staff is treating me good. Being such a well known onco surgeon he is so down to earth. No words can express my gratitude towards him, he is a very kind, noble and someone because of whom I was able to fight this battle! Dr Ashish Pokharkar performed a surgery to remove a growth in my colon.

I had a colonoscopy, which resulted in discovery of a large growth in my colon. We had to wait for a while for the biopsy results.

The word “Cancer” weighs heavy on the heart, and we were in extremely confused situation with no symptoms and not knowing what the outcome would be.

He is extremely compassionate, took the time to provide clear explanations on all probable outcome and how each one will be dealt with. Post surgery he shared his view that chances of the growth being cancerous is very small. Finally, the LAB reports confirmed that the growth, as not cancerous.

Dr. Ashish is very sensible person! My wife had Ovarian cyst so when we know about this we vist many doctors they suggest us to remove uterus. So when we vist Dr Ashish for first time he talked with us very friendly and explained all things in detail. We are very tensed about things that are happening but he counsel us.He told us there is no need to remove uterus.We have to remove only cyst.This is really critical surgery but he did it in very easy way! We are really very grateful to Dr. Ashish Pokharkar!
