My wife and I visited Dr. Getsy Solomon yesterday for marriage counseling, what we believed would be our final attempt to save our relationship. We had been separated for some time and were on the verge of divorce. By sheer luck, we found Dr. Getsy through an online search and managed to get a same-day appointment.

She immediately understood the seriousness of our situation and kindly extended our session to 4.5 hours. She had to reschedule 3 of her online session to focus on our issue. It included individual consultations for both of us and a joint session that turned out to be truly life-changing.

Dr. Getsy's warmth, deep empathy, and insightful guidance created a safe space where we could both open up, perhaps for the first time in years. She didn’t just listen, she understood. Her approach helped us recognize the pain, miscommunication, and emotional wounds that had built up over time. By the end of the session, something profound had shifted. We walked into her clinic as disconnected strangers and walked out holding hands as husband and wife again.

She also recommended online follow-up therapy specifically for my wife, to support her in healing deeper emotional scars that had gone unaddressed for too long. That level of thoughtfulness and personalized care means the world to us.

We are beyond grateful to Dr. Getsy Solomon for giving us a second chance, not just at marriage, but at love, understanding, and emotional renewal. We can confidently say this was one of the most important decisions we’ve ever made, and it has changed our lives forever.

Dr. Getsby has lifted my thought process, my soul and my physical health to a great extent. I had my life's first psychological counseling with her and just after the first session I felt that I made the right choice of having a counselor. But on top of it if you are lucky to get a great mentor you should feel blessed. So I am, I got Dr. Getsby.

She found me in a state where I left the counsiousness of my mental health, physical health due to family issues. She is very straight forward in her approach and feedback. She will make you understand/realize the reasons around and in you for your current state of health. I booked first session for 30 mins but she gave enough time realizing my mental state as I started to open up. The first session went nesrly 2 hrs. She is compassionate to let bad thoughts bleed out of you without worrying about time. She love her clients and extend her support beyond the counseling sessions. I had multiple sessions with her and each time she knocked the door for help right before my thought to reach to her. I started to believe in MAGIC. Yes it happens if you start to believe in it.

Lastly I would recommend each one of you reading this review., go and book a session with her without any second thought. Her knowledge is vast to handle all sort of issues you may have. Thanks!!

i was struggling with this anxiety issue, doctor had suggested me to go for counselling session, as soon as i opened practo, i got to see getsy mam, without second thought i just booked her appointment on same day, went down for counselling and she was just magic, from the way she grasped the problem that is causing issue was really amazing. after counselling first session, i felt somewhat relaxed and in the second day session, i couldnt concentrate fully though video session, still i attended. i wasnt able to sleep that day night. so without second thought i messaged her in the midnight , as soon as she checked my message, she called me up to come over to her home(which was very far from my place in chennai) but me and mother believed her and went to her home. it was too early in the morning, she just blew our mind through the way she took care of us. she treated us like almost guests. had healthy breakfast and chai(superb). we werent in position to eat anything but she just made sure that we ate and then started therapy. after exercise, i was confident enough to eat the remaining breads by hearing the counselling. the she explained each and everything weakness, strength and then ways to come out of it. she was just superb. i had really good sleep that day evening. all thanks goes to her. she is an ANGEL who is in this world to help out others. great human being. this issue was there form past 2 weeks but it resolved by her in just 1 day. i am so thankful for her. my mother is also very happy. As I was about to start the next phase of my life, to become a mother, I had a discussion with Dr.Getsy. Just to get to know how to approach pregnancy. I didn't think I needed therapy, but after the initial discussion, I felt like I could open up to her and I started attending the therapy sessions to better myself.

The first session was really hard. I felt like I was reliving those dark moments all over again. I felt the negative energy around me and it was uncomfortable.

The therapy made me acknowledge,

feel and process the raw emotions and the complexity of the relationships which I didn't understand or pay much attention to.

As a child, I was scared to show my anger, sadness and disappointment because society and my family expected me to be the girl who understands parents's struggles, vulnerabilities and social pressure.

I had a thought that I came far away from my childhood and it won't affect me anymore. But the therapy made me realize that I need to acknowledge, feel, and heal those emotional wounds to better myself.

I was able to re-experience the memories as an adult, and I saw myself as that child going through those moments. Dr.Getsy made me comfortable to describe them as much as possible and show my emotions. I felt sad, angry, and I had ugly cry.

The part where I wipe out all the negatives and bring in all the positives, helped me to reframe my past positively by finding the beautiful and colorful times. After experiencing the painful memories, I was able to focus on the good things that happened, opportunities I had, lessons I learnt, the effort that my parents put in which made me who I am today. I am happy, thankful and grateful for the good things that happened in my childhood.

I wanted to share my personal experience with a wonderful psychologist, hoping it might help someone who is going through a similar situation — especially parents dealing with emotional challenges around their children’s major life events, such as marriage.

When my daughter’s marriage was being planned, I found myself overwhelmed with mixed emotions — happiness, pride, anxiety, and even moments of sadness. One of the most powerful parts of our sessions was learning how to separate love from control — understanding that supporting my daughter meant trusting her choices and celebrating her independence. The psychologist also taught me simple mindfulness and grounding exercises that helped me stay calm and centered during the post wedding.

Through our conversations, I began to rediscover balance, joy, and confidence in myself. The sessions didn’t just help me handle the situation; they helped me grow as a parent and as a person. I became more emotionally aware and more compassionate toward myself.

I would truly recommend seeking professional help if you ever feel emotionally stuck, anxious, or conflicted during major family transitions. Therapy is not a sign of weakness — it’s a step toward healing, clarity, and peace of mind. I’m deeply grateful to the psychologist for her empathy, insight, and the genuine care she showed throughout this journey.

Dr Getsy is a good listener, taking in, all our detailed problems and then start counselling. She is great in her follow up with the patient, very involved. She suggests alternative measures, if something doesn't work out for us. She answers patiently to all our doubts on solutions offered by her.

I personally feel that sharing my very personal confidential past difficult situations with a non - judgemental counsellor like Getsy perhaps helped reduce mental agony and stress. She instils confidence with her one line positive mantras frequently.

This is jobin , I visited the doctor for mood swings related issues . Dr Getsy is just great. She almost listened to all my problems very patiently. My 25 years problem was solved in just 2 hours . She exactly found out what my problem was and gave me solution instantly . I really feel good after the counseling session . she is full of positive energy . I feel very happy and relieved . I can confidently say that I have started to see life from another angle filled with positive energy and happiness. The session was really helpful. Mam was very easy to approach. I was able to very easily talk with her. Her way of explaining things is good. The therapy part was even better. I was struggling quite some bit when I went there, everything felt heavy and I was struggling with managing all the things happening in my life. It really helped me get a perspective of this. I was able to acknowledge the things that i was afraid of saying out loud. That was very emotional and truthful. I was able to hear my own voice without other noise. The slow build up made it easy to open up. I wouldn\u2019t say suddenly I am all well and cured . I just realised that I can be better and I will be fine. This session just shifted my perspective and gave hope that I came this far and I can still go much further. I really thank you mam to make me believe in myself again . I was going through a really hard phase emotionally, when I met Dr.Getsy for initiating therapy. The best part of her sessions, is that she gives you the time and patiently listens, which is of most importance when it comes to sensitive topics surrounding mental health.
