First of all I must tell you that if you want to clear all your myths about physiotherapy, this is the place to be at and get treated. In my case, i am overweight, had a femur implant in 2012, and suddenly in the last 1 year i started to have a severe lower back pains, spasms, and sudden tingling in my right foot which I continued to ignore and survive on pain killers. I was also a past case of very low Vit D and Calcium, so bones are not in a good shape. Suddenly i slipped in October and suddenly got impacted with a very severe PSIS and Sciatica and just was bed ridden without any movement. Given that I am workaholic, this situation not only demotivated me, but i lost all hopes of recovery given my health condition. I showed it to 2 Neurologists and 2 Orthos (very remowned, and all of them said that i should be on bed for 3-4 weeks before i could think of Physio. After some time, i went to a Physio therapy center, and like all other PT experiences, I was put in Tens and US and then the doctor suggested 2 exercises and would leave the room. I was given some hot fermentation. Till this time, my understanding was this was PT. Then Came the right time, when i did another search in my Township and many people recommended Doc Gitika. I am so glad that I am getting treated with her. She actually explained and did much much more than a Machine treatment, like Manipulation, Body alignment correction and in fact my Sciatica was cured in sharp 5 days without any Machine intervention. It was all her hands, Her strength and efforts that she did with me and my bulky body that cured me and motivated me to put more efforts seeing her interest in curing me. She cleared all my myths that PHYSIOTHERAPY is NOT tens and US machine treatments. She had her own way of analysing my body, correcting and creating her own exercise regime for me. Her hands are magical. *** ** ********* ************* ** *** ****** *** for the first time i felt that PT is most important treatment for anyone who complains of bodily pains of any types. She answers all my questions very patiently, Motivated me on the days when i felt low with my health, Holds me accountable for my walks and exercises. After my Sciatica, I have trusted her so much that I am correcting my body alignment that was giving me a lot of problem due to an operation of implant in 2012. Thats also 95% corrected because of her and i feel overall so good about my body and its capability that is increasing. Its been first time in the last 7-8 years that I have been without a pain killer for the last 4 weeks and i am Soooo happy. You need to give your body to her and trust her with complete Faith and Patience and give your best, and I believe you will be cured 100%. All the best in your recovery.

I visited Dr. Gitika after suffering for almost 4 years from shoulder pain. The pain used to be so excruciating that I couldn't write ( hold pen/ pencil) for more than 5 mins at a stretch, household chores were coming burdensome, chopping vegetables ( just one onion for that matter) had become a daunting task. Time for things which I once loved and enjoyed like painting and sketching, had shrunk to zero. I would work out and go on clean diet and yet would not manage to lose an inch. I would wake up in the morning as though I had no hands and there would be a constant burning and tingling sensation in my fingers.

Most doctors in my interactions with them have overlooked teenagers and do not value their opinion or problems. They straight jump to the parents and explain everything to them. Even if you try to speak, they do not listen. They act as if you are not even in the room. Therefore, I had never got the right treatment, especially with physiotherapy. Because nobody ever listened. But my journey with medicine changed when I met Dr. Gitika Bansal. I was unsure whether I wanted physiotherapy because it had previously not worked in my favor. So, I was a bit suspicious but, I went in with an open mind. I had suffered a ligament tear because I had fallen. Immediately I went to the hospital and got into a cast for four to five weeks. When it came off only thing they suggested was medication. Physiotherapy had been mentioned. But we got to know from some friends about the wonders it does. So I went in, and the first Dr. Bansal did was explain everything that had happened, then she explained my treatment to me. Everything that would take place and how might it feel and all. All of the information while overwhelming. It was helpful because I knew what would happen. The first day was a bit painful for me. I went back and told Dr. Bansal she said that was normal because my foot had turned to numbness. It was very important to get that feeling back. But with that feeling came pain. After a total of two months, I have got my foot back. Before I went to see her, I could not move out of bed because my foot was swollen, red, and every time I placed it on the ground it, hurt a lot. I could barely take two steps to the loo. But now, as of yesterday, I finished my last session with her and took 6,734 steps the most, I had ever taken since that fall. I had managed to climb thirty steps as well, both up and down. Earlier I could not even stand on both feet now, I can walk, climb do whatever I want at a pace. So, that was my journey. As far as she goes, she is a good doctor, all you need to have is a little patience. But you will be okay. You need to follow what she does, even if it may seem a little odd or scary at first, it all makes sense in the end. All the best!
