A misstep while playing football left my ankle swollen and painful. I could barely put weight on it. Dr. Purti examined it and explained it was a lateral ankle sprain. We started with RICE therapy (rest, ice, compression, elevation), followed by proprioception training, ankle strengthening, and balance board exercises. She made sure I progressed slowly to avoid re-injury. The staff helped me with band exercises and made sure I was comfortable during every session. Now my ankle feels stable again, and I’m back to light jogging without fear of twisting it again.
