I have been thinking for long to share my experience with Dr. Vikram, but as most of the human beings do, I kept on procrastinating to write about the best doctor experience I have been through ever.
Let me give a background.
I since a last few years I was having pain on the left side of the throat, over the period of time I saw a few doctors in Gurgaon who scared the hell out me with hints of Eagle Syndrome, chances of cancer and surgery etc. they made me go through numerous CT scans, Endoscopy, and what not.... and I was following their advice to the core however the pain never completely went away … though it used to subside and for few months and then again it used to come back.
This pain used to subside a bit and then flare up making it difficult for me to even swallow. In the mean while I shifted to Noida and I planned to see just another ENT.
Fortunately I went to JP hospital and got an appointment with Dr. Vikram Bhardwaj.
Now let me explain my thoughts and observations of Dr Vikram Bhardwaj before he actually started his assessment.
A very young doctor somewhat of my age group who doesn’t seem to be as experienced as my previous ENT doctors with grey hair, a very down to earth way of initiating discussions and asking very simple questions. My initial thought was “let’s see this one too and let him tell me to undergo multiple tests”.
But as and when he started to analyze the area where I had the pain and observing the throat with all his gadgets, Dr. Vikram was very encouraging and I do not remember a single sentence which he said could have scared me. He spent some good 5 – 10 minutes to do the throat assessment and to avoid any other possibilities he said though I am confident that there is nothing serious, let me still see with a camera in the throat. He then double checked it with some instrument with lights and camera and I was able to see him being satisfied and reassured that there is nothing serious. Think from a patients point of view when your doctor smiles saying don’t worry I am 90% sure nothing serious, have these medicines and the rest 10% doubt will go away when these medicines will bring the pain and swelling down.
He took my number and shot a message to me asking about the pain the very next day, asked me to change few medicines.
After I completed my medicine course though I was free of the pain but I still visited Dr. Vikram to be reassured that there is nothing left. I was just blown away when Dr. Vikram said “Aap phir aa gaey” “I do not want to see you again with this problem” “It is good that we can meet again but not with this issue, this should not come again”**** **** ***** **** **** ****** * **** **** *****

I have been meaning to write this from quite some time now. And I would really want everyone, who needs to see an ENT, to benefit from knowing about my experience with Dr Vikram.
My daughter had grade 3 - grade 4 enlarged adenoids and I consulted all top ENT’s, at least 4 of them, all in top hospitals. They all advised for removal of adenoids. Some had put her on heavy dosage of steroid sprays for months, which should not be given for more than a few days, if need be. Others were adamant on removing her tonsils along with adenoids, when she didn’t even have any issue with her tonsils.
I was under extreme stress and then got to know about Dr Vikram and went there. In first meeting and every meeting there on, he listened to everything patiently, explained things properly and observed my daughter’s condition carefully. He took one step at a time and tried that she overgrows her inflammed/swollen adenoids situation naturally and gave minimal medication, and when needed. He also advised some exercises. No one else had such patience to try and cure.
Eventually we also had to go with adenoids removal with doctor’s advice but this is when even we knew that doctor had observed carefully and gave enough time for body to cure naturally. And in today’s time when everyone is wanting to remove tonsils and put grommet in ear, along with adenoids removal procedure, Dr Vikram advised and rightly so, only for adenoids removal because this is all she needed basis her reports.
We then got adenoidectomy done by Dr Vikram himself and the overall experience has been smooth without any complications. And my daughter has got a new life after the procedure. I can’t thank him enough for giving her the right treatment at the right time, nothing more, nothing less.

When truth becomes necessarily stranger than fiction….
My encounter with Dr. Vikram Bhardwaj , the renowned ENT Specialist, MS, FHNS Noida, Delhi, Consultant, Jaypee Hospital:
I searched out Dr. Vikram Bhardwaj’s name on the Google as one of the best ENT surgeons in Noida, Delhi. I desperately needed a second opinion about my condition which was diagnosed as a case of unilateral enlargement of the right tonsil by a doctor in my hometown, Berhampore , West Bengal. It was of course a disquieting news for me. The dreaded six letter disease, beginning with’ C’ began to haunt me since then.
On 22June, 2018, I came from Calcutta with my daughter to Delhi, where she lives with her family. On the same day in the evening , luckily I got a confirmation for an appointment with the doctor. Dr. Bhardwaj gave a patient hearing to my problem, had a close study of the CT Scan report I had brought with me and felt the affected area of my mouth. After having examined me thoroughly, he told me that it looked like a case of para pharyngeal tissues . He assured me that the mass was harmless one, because it appeared to be a deposit at the surface level and I did not need to worry. And most importantly, my case had nothing to do with the tonsil. However, he advised me to get an MRI done. The report revealed Dr. Bhardwaj’s diagnosis to be uncannily correct. The doctor stressed that a surgical solution was the only option open before me and I was to go under the scalpel for removal of the tumor.
I was admitted to Jaypee Hospital, Noida, one of the top notch hospitals in Delhi on July 3. On the same day Dr. Vikram Bhardwaj had his ‘ Old Team’ as he fondly calls his most trusted colleagues, pressed into service to perform the whole procedure. The renowned surgical oncologist Dr. Nitin Leekha was specially entrusted to perform the operation. In three hours since the operation, when I was sent to my bed I began to feel an incredible ‘ lightness of being’ and I attended a phone call from home and talked to my wife for five minutes without feeling any discomfort.
So this is my story dear readers and patients. My story began in fear, in a typically Chekhovian character’s grim melancholy that life is open ended, but ended in joy, among smiles again with my near and dear ones, knowing that I was cured completely of the disease which might have been dreadful had I not been treated by Dr. Vikram Bhardwaj at the right time. A doctor blessed with rare insight Dr. Bhardwaj is a gentleman personified. I wish him all the best.
