Dr. Harsha Saxena

Dr. Harsha Saxena (MBBS, MS, FPOS) is a young and highly accomplished Paediatric Ophthalmologist and Squint Specialist with a remarkable academic and professional background. After completing her MBBS, she pursued her MS in Ophthalmology from Government Medical College, Jabalpur, where she was a stellar performer, earning more than 10 gold medals for academic excellence. She has been awarded with Dr Mahadik Award for the best student of the batch.She has further honed her clinical skills through a Senior Residency at AIIMS, Bhopal, followed by a fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the prestigious MM Joshi Eye Institute, Hubli (Karnataka). Her surgical expertise was further strengthened through additional fellowships in Phacoemulsification Cataract Surgery from both Sitapur Eye Hospital, Sitapur( Uttar Pradesh)and Laxmi Eye Institute, Mumbai (Maharashtra).Dr. Harsha has served as a consultant at Narayana Nethralaya, Bangalore, where she contributed significantly to clinical care and research. She has successfully performed over 5000 ophthalmic surgeries in both adults and children, establishing her as a trusted and skilled surgeon.With a keen interest in medical innovation, she is actively involved in ophthalmic research, particularly in the application of Artificial Intelligence in Ophthalmology. She represented India at the Med Tech World Conference in Malta, Europe (2022) as part of the "AI Clinician" session, highlighting her contributions at the intersection of technology and medicine.An avid academic, Dr. Harsha has authored more than 12 peer-reviewed journal articles and contributed chapters to reputed ophthalmology textbooks. Her research presentations have earned accolades at numerous national and international conferences, including the Late Dr Kumud VA Joshi Award (2015) and the Prof R P Dhanda Memorial Award (2019) for best paper presentations.Beyond clinical excellence, she is deeply committed to social causes.
