I naively decided to consult them since they were the closest to my location, and had ostensibly a decent reputation online* *** **** *** **** ************** *** ***** ** *** **** ************** ******

In my initial visit, after waiting far longer than the time scheduled for OPD. The entire appointment lasted no longer than 5 minutes, and outside a few platitudes and really basic inquiries (that took most of the consultation), I was told to apply for some tests through their private practice, instead of the hospital we were in. *** ****** *** **** ********** ** ****** ** ** ******* *** ******** ******** **** *** ******** ********* ********* ******* ******* ***** *** ******** ***** ** * **** ********** ******* *** *****

I did as instructed, and booked an appointment, and the price of all 'tests' would amount to INR 4000. All these tests were agreed upon after a 5 minutes of meeting, and I wasn't even told what they would entail. I was 21 at that time, and suffering from crippling depression, so I ******* believed that I was in the right care, without doing some preliminary research, and refused to cast any doubts because I had negligently given them 4000.

The tests itself happened over a single day, and an interview by the psychologist, and that was it… It didn't lead to anything substantial, and was far from what I actually expected it to be- reasonable expectations for receiving personalized series of treatment from whatever that was troubling me. Turns out, it wasn't anything like that. Through (deliberate?) decit, and not revealing full information, and the staff being very nonchalant about my case, I was made to spend 4000 on tests that lead to absolutely nowhere. The tests were merely a basic indicator of my mental health was at *that* point of time, and couldn't even be used anywhere else, let alone considered a diagnosis.

The results themselves took like a month to be delivered (leaving with me with no updates in the meantime). And once I finally received it, I wasn't informed about anything else. There was no follow up consultation, or anything like that. I had to personally contact their office who told me that they'd set a separate appointment. Until this point, I was still under the impression that I was being treated in good faith, and when the time for appointment (online) came, they just sent me a picture of their QR scanner, asking for another payment of 1500. I was at a loss of words at this point, since no such information about such charges was ever relayed to me beforehand. I decided to book an appointment on my own through the hospital, since it's partially covered by insurance.

By this time, I had only met the psychiatrist themselves, only once, and was only communicating through their staff (and that too happened like 2-3 times, for the purposes of booking an appointment, and making payment). Again having to wait longer than the scheduled time for OPD, despite being one of the early comers, I finally managed to meet the psychiatrist again. As it must be clear by now, they were barely informed about any of my tests, and I had to show it all through my own phone. This consultation as well didn't last for more than 5-10 minutes (out of which, they were engaged in a conversation on their phone). It felt as if they were meeting me for the first time, contrary to my impression, as I had been going circles for months by then. By the end, with the same indifference I was treated, I was prescribed some medication whose purpose was vaguely explained, and *** **** ***** **** ** ** ***** ***** ** **** **** *************** ***** ***** **** ** ******************* ** *** ***** ** * ********** *** ********** *************** * *** ***** ******* * **** **** ***** I couldn't really get back to them immediately after that, and it took me some time to process what all that happened.

So ultimately, I had spent about INR 5000, and about two months of time trying to seek treatment with zero results, and even more confusion than before. Once I finally got some of my bearing back, I contacted their staff explaining what I had gone through, and they were not at all interested in hearing my feedback. ********** **** ***** ** **************** ********* ** ********** ***** ** ************* I could have possibly let it all slide had it *** *** **** ** ** **** ***** ** ******** *** ********* ******* However, given what I had to go through, I couldn't let not share about my unpleasant experience.

I do hope mine was just an exception, and this isn't how it goes down for everyone else. But clearly that wasn't the case for me, and I was left with no choice *** ********* ** ***** *****
