Prof. (Dr) J. M. Hans is a Gold Medallist (MS ENT) from the prestigious institute, PGI Chandigarh. He pioneered the Veria technique in Cochlear implant surgery 20 years ago in India and has successfully operated more than 3000 cochlear implants. He is the first ENT surgeon in India to have started the auditory brain stem implant in children. He has mentored many ENT surgeons all over India and the SAARC countries. He was the Professor and Head of the department of ENT at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi. He is a Fellow of the House Ear Institute (USA) and Bionic Ear Institute (Australia). Prof. (Dr). J. M. Hans has held the prestigious post of the ENT surgeon to the Honble Prime Minister of India. He was awarded the Padmashri by the Ex-Hon’ble President of India, Shri APJ Abdul Kalam in the year 2005. He also provides Bone Anchored Hearing Aids (B. A. H. visited doctor for vertigo(bppv) and dizziness problem,
Tablets he prescribed,
1. loxof 750 (used for sinus treatment - Though I had no cold or had cold regularly in past , told the doctor about the same)
2. Montek - LC (used for asthma - Didn't even mentioned the word asthma in the whole conversation - not sure why he prescribed that)
3. Mendel's throat paint - (didn't mention any throat problem, still he prescribed)
Also asked to visit again after 5 days with a sinus xray as he strongly suggested I had sinusitis.

I was quite disappointed with my recent visit. The doctor spent only a few minutes with us and did not take the time to properly understand the symptoms or explain any potential diagnosis. Most patients, during my visit, were spending at least 4k and on average more than 10k ** *********** ****** The doctor would use terms like “loosing precious time” and “tumor” to scare the patient. Recommended blood test to discover allergies causing throat problem, to determine a long term resolution. Happy with his reasoning. Waiting for results so cannot expound further at present.
