He is a renowned interventional cardiologist recognized for his groundbreaking work in percutaneous mitral balloon valvotomy with the Inoue Balloon catheter, and being the first cardiologist in the country to administer intracoronary and intravenous streptokinase in acute myocardial infarction. He obtained his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College. He has subsequent to his training at the GB Pant Hospital, New Delhi ( DM cardiology), performed as a senior consultant in cardiology at the Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia, New Delhi, besides being the chief of cardiology for more than a decade and additional medical superintendent over there. He committed himself to establishing a state of art cardiac catheterization laboratory and a comprehensive cardiac surgery department at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. During his tenure at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, he was awarded numerous international fellowships with some of the leading interventional cardiologists of the world such as Prof Masakiyo Nobuyoshi of Japan, Prof Gary Rubin of the USA, Prof Robert Greenbaum of the UK (special interest EPS). He also set up a cardiology department with a cardiac catheterization laboratory at the Saroj Hospital, Rohini, Delhi. He was associated with Moolchand Hospital and MAX hospital at Delhi. He also has the distinction of serving as a cardiologist to 3 Prime Ministers and one President of India, numerous cabinet ministers, and chief ministers, and was also appointed cardiologist to H.E Mr. Nelson Mandela by the Government of India. He had 3 publications in peer reviewed journals in the year 2015. We have consulted a few Cardiologists in the past but none of them has the same aura like Dr. Natarajan Sir has.Dr. Natarajan sir's diagnosis, way of explaining things and assuring words will act like a magic just exactly like how his treatment works.To be honest, Dr. Deepak Natarajan Sir is a renowned interventional cardiologist but he is still such humble doctor who do not believe in earning through strange means. Dr. Deepak sir does not get annoyed when a nervous and scared patient ask him about the doubts one has. Infact, he answers them with a smile on his face.Trust me, this a very rare quality and in my opinion, in today's world only few doctors have such professionalism and positivity in them. I wonder how such quality of Dr. Deepak Sir have never been misused by some worried patients 😄Asking questions is not bad... We all have hopes and fears... And who else will answer them except your Doctor... But consuming his valuable time which he could have easily utilised for either doing Surgery helping patients or Resting or even making a detailed informative YouTube video answering frequently asked questions will still do the trick... Also, it's my humble request to Dr. Natarajan sir to make few episodes on FAQs from his valuable time and upload them on YouTube... Dr. Natarajan Sir could have easily taken the short cut route and have hired a marketing agency to do paid promotion for him like many Cardiologist and doctors of other fields have done and are still doing on Quora and other social platforms. But Dr. Natarajan sir has trusted his gut feeling that his own Genuine patients will surely do that for him.Not in a marketing way... But the honest way... And here we go... Doc natrajan is wonderful doc. We visited hospital in emergency for heart issue. He responded very nicely and was quick at service. He has put pacemaker for my father inlaw. Now he is doing fine.His bp is normal and heart is functioning properly after pacemaker is put. I recomend this doc to everyone. He is one call away.
