A Heartfelt Thank You, Dr. Nitin Tiwari

Dear Dr. Nitin Tiwari,

This is a small story I wanted to share with you — a story that means a lot to me and my family.

Back in 2024, my father suddenly began experiencing severe acidity and chest pain. I immediately took him to Sparsh Hospital near our home. There, the doctors gave him some antacids and tablets, which provided temporary relief. However, by evening, the chest pain returned. I rushed him back to the same hospital, where Dr. Swarup Verma attended to him.

Dr. Verma did an ECG and quickly identified the need for an angioplasty within the next hour. He immediately gave my father six important tablets and called you to explain the situation. Even though you had already finished your day and gone home, you didn’t hesitate — you asked your team to prepare the emergency department at Wockhardt Hospital, and you personally rushed back.

When we arrived at Wockhardt, you met us right away. You spoke with my father, calmed him down, motivated him, and clearly explained everything that was going to happen. You gave us the confidence we needed at that critical time. Within minutes, you took my father into the OT. Just ten minutes later, you called us in to show us the blockage. Thankfully, there was only one. You reassured us again and went back in to perform the angioplasty.

After the procedure, you once again explained everything in detail and asked your team to shift my father to the ICU for 24-hour monitoring. The next morning, you came for a follow-up, and then he was moved to a regular room. After another day's stay, he was discharged in the evening. Ten days later, we visited you again for a follow-up, and everything was perfectly fine. Since then, we have been regularly visiting every four months for follow-up checks, and by God’s grace, everything is normal now.

What stood out the most throughout this entire experience was you. The way you handled everything, the way you interacted with my father — it never felt like we were dealing with a doctor, but rather with a close family member. Your humor, your calmness, and your genuine care made it all feel so much lighter. Sitting in your cabin never felt like something serious had ever happened — that's the kind of comfort you bring to your patients.

We are forever grateful to you.

My wife, Syeda Nuzhat Jahan Qaiser, has been under the treatment and close supervision of Dr. Murtuza Bohra, Medical Oncologist since 1st week of November 2025. By the grace of Almighty Allah, and under his careful guidance, Syeda's full courses of chemotherapy and immunotherapy were successfully completed.

Once the medical team determined that the tumor could be surgically removed, Dr. Murtuza Bohra recommended the name of Dr. Sagar Bhalerao, the Surgical Oncologist at Wockhardt Hospital. On his advice, and with Allah’s blessings, Syeda Nuzhat Jahan’s surgery was successfully performed by Dr. Sagar at Wockhardt Hospital on 30th January.

Syeda has been discharged on the 6th of February 2026 from the hospital. By the infinite mercy and grace of Allah, she left the hospital as a true Cancer Warrior, having shown remarkable courage, patience, and resilience throughout this difficult journey.

I express my deepest and heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Murtuza Bohra, Dr. Sagar Bhalerao, and their entire team for their exceptional expertise, dedication, and compassionate care.

I am thankful to Dr. Anup Agrawal (Consultant, Internal Medicine) for his valuable guidance and clinical oversight.

My sincere appreciation also goes to the resident doctors; Dr. Indrani, Dr. Pranali, and Dr. Vidya for their attentive support.

I am immensely grateful to the nursing team, including Sister Reena Biswas, Sister Urwashi, Sister Dnyandeepa, Sister Kamini, Sister Arti, and Sister Vidya, along with all other nurses and support staff.

I also extend my special thanks to Mrs. Nutan ( Receptionist) and Mr. Amol Naukarkar (Pharmacist) for their important contributions and professionalism.

I also sincerely appreciate the efforts of the pharmacy, and housekeeping staff for their efficient services and supportive attitude.

Their continued support and concern ensured that, even after my retirement, all necessary medical facilities for my wife’s treatment were made available without difficulty.

My father was suffering from heart blockage, and the doctors advised us to go for bypass surgery. They said there was no other option. We consulted Dr. Nitin Tiwari in Nagpur, and he patiently listened to everything and explained every detail very clearly.
