I visited Dr. Tanoy Bose at the Medica Superspeciality hospital in kolkata on December 7, 2021 for my wife's joint pains. Her pain and suffering was very serious, she was stretcher bound when she visited the doctor. Our life was completely crippled for the past two months as her illness intensified. She first felt pain in her left ankle in August, 2021. She was only 25 so I didn't expect it to be an arthritis. Even the first two orthopaedic surgeons whom we consulted opined that it is not arthritis and could be cured in few days of medication and the use of soft shoes. But it didn't happen and her suffering continues to worse. First she has to take the help of a stick to walk on the floor and then a wheel chair. I had to hire an aya to take care of my young wife. The third doctor we consulted Dr. Anirban Chatterjee (also in Medica hospital) was the first to suggest that it could be arthritis. He advised few blood tests to diagnose arthritis. Except CRP and ESR no other result was positive. But still on his advise we decided to consult a Rheumatologist. After reading reviews in Practo I decided that Dr. Tanoy Bose could be the best choice for her. And I am more than thankful for my decision now. He came like an angel in our life and poured his blessings. Just by doing few minutes of observation with her fingers and ankle joints he confidently diagnosed it to be a case of Rheumatoid Arthritis. He prescribed no exercise and no therapy, just few medicines. And that was enough to transform a bed ridden woman into a freely walking personality who can do a daily morning walk of over 4 kilometres in just under three months. In our next visit to him she walked into the doctor's chamber like a fully healthy woman. Every credit goes to the doctor for transforming our life and regaining our self confidence. No praise is enough for him. Kolkata should be proud to have such a doctor here who can treat a chronic and traumatic disease like arthritis confidently.

Excellent behaviour which helps to explain the issue. He listened carefully and geve us support. First time I have visited to do check up for my wife. We both are happy.

I had visited Dr. Tanoy Bose for treatment of back muscles pain and stiffness. His friendly behavior , positive advice and proper diagnosis to cope with the disease with really helpful. I am very satisfied with this treatment. Thank you so much Dr. Bose.

I was suffering from generalised bodyache with severe pain over back of neck and hands. Whenever, I touched those parts I had severe pain. The life was totally doomed and since I was a frequent traveller, I needed a quick relief for this problem. I had consulted many physicians and orthopaediacians and every body prescribed pain killers with Calcium and Vitamin D. But, there was no permanent relief from this problem. Neither did anyone provide me with any diagnosis.

I travelled from Howrah to Hiland Park to meet this doctor and the consultation was readily available as it was prebboked. He suggested that I was suffering from a disorder called FIBROMYALGIA. It is a state of heightened pain sensitivity and per se it is not a disease at all. I was prescribed with Fluoxetine and Pregabalin along with high dose Paracetamol.

Now there are some points which really impressed me.

1. The prescription was printed and digital. The doctor had a copy of my prescription and he asked me to call anytime I want and he can trace my prescription out from his laptop.

2. The possibel side effects of the drugs were prescribed in the prescription too so that I can identify the culprit drug and communicate with the doctor accordingly

3. The behavior was extremely polite and he advocated internet research on the disease.

These features are lacking amongst most of the doctors in the city. I am sure that soon the medical tourism will change its direction from south wards to east ward.

I would strongly recommend Dr. Bose for all rheumatological and internal Medicines issues.
