Didn’t give enough time. Prescribed generic medicines. And the secretary and the management was so bad. Not recommending at all. Ignore him and go for another doctor. *Don't fall for the Google reviews*
--
Some points worth mentioning:
(1). My experience has taught me that doctors should listen to patients as much as they ask. I don't really know how much time a doctor should give to a patient, but from my experience, they should. Counseling is an important part of treatment. ******** **** ****** ** ** ************ ******* he could not give me enough time. But I think at least he should have given me a couple minutes. (I got maybe 40/50 seconds.)
(2). The way he treated me caused me to go to a second doctor. He started writing prescriptions before my problem was discussed, which is not expected either.
(3). As for the management, I went as per my appointment, and the secretary kept saying that older people are going to get priority. So what's the point of giving a specific appointment time to patients if older people are going to get priority?
In spite of the fact that my x-ray report was not delivered on time.
I am however hoping that this doctor will understand my point and use this criticism in a positive manner so that things can be made better for future patients.

We were referred to Dr. Maitra by my friend who had a great experience with him in the recent past. My elderly and comorbid father had developed a serious ear infection for which another ENT had even recommended surgery. We then met Dr. Maitra for a second opinion who then medically managed the infection successfully without the need of surgery.***** ****** ** *** ** *** **** ******* ** **** **** **** ******* He discussed both the problem and his approach extensively and clearly, which indeed extend for a long time and included in-patient care. The therapy continued at home thereafter, and there were times when things deteriorated, but Dr. Maitra was always approachable and speaking to him boosted our confidence each time. He truly went above and beyond in his role as a doctor and I'm sure he treats all his patients similarly.
During the treatment, he also identified some unrelated complexities, which could have had some serious implications. He also referred us to the right people, to ensure things were managed effectively.
The entire treatment eventually spanned across months and we had some tough moments. With Dr Maitra around, we felt safe and confident. There are not enough words to express our gratitude towards Dr Maitra.
Thank you for your counsel, guidance, treatment, and all the help over the past 3-4 months.

Today my mother had appointment with Dr. Sudipta Ghosh, Gastroenterologist at Fortis Hospital Anandapur, Kolkata. In the last visit the doctor told her to do certain tests. When my parents went to meet him again today with the reports, he prescribed some new tests and medicines immediately. He neither saw the earlier reports nor did he listen what problems the patient is having. ** ** *** **** ****** ** ** ********* ***** *** ********** When my mother tried to explain her problems, the doctor rudely reacted. He didn't listen her at all, even he shouted for no reason. Earlier I've taken treatment from Fortis Chennai, but nowhere I've ever seen such a arrogant doctor. ** ******* **** *** ** ****** **** * ******** *** ** ***** ** ******* ***** **** * ***** ********** ******** ****** ** **** **** ****** **** **** ********* ********** ** ****** ********** The fortis authority should remember that they are not doing any charity. Horrible behaviour. Misbehaviour in-front of his physiotherapist. My father was in extreme pain due to Slip Disk for which he couldn’t retaliate. He was asked horribly & rudely to take off his pants that too in-front of his young lady physiotherapist and when he expressed his discomfort Dr. K.M Das rudely forced him to do so. There was not any private examination room either. Also prescribed few calcium supplements and that was the end of it. No thorough treatment plan was given.

Dr Ansuree has been treating me for Bullous pemphigoid for many years now. She has been kind enough to support during odd hours as I have other complications in addition to the mentioned disease. She has taken excellent care of me especially whenever there has been spurts in the affliction. I am very satisfied with her commitment & personal care she has shown with me.

I travelled from a very long distance to consult this doctor. But he was unavailable at OPD during that time. So I waited for nearly one and a half hours expecting his arrival. But he didn't disappoint me with the treatment. ** ************** **** *** ******* ** **** ****** ************ The results were fulfilling. If the timing issues can be sorted out, it will be the best experience.
