I got an appointment with Dr. Amitabha Ghosh, after looking him up in Practo for treatment of my gallstone last year(2020). He easy to talk to, explains the diagnosis and procedure thoroughly, and boosts up the confidence levels of the patient with his sense of humor. In fact my scheduled surgery got cancelled because of lock-down in March'20, and I waited for a year to get it done in March 2021, as I had lot of faith and confidence in his abilities.

My surgery went fine, was discharged the next day and I have had a remarkable recovery a week after. He keeps following up with the patient regularly on phone for status updates, both prior and post surgery, which is unique and the most helpful aspect.

He is one of the top doctor/surgeon's that I've come across in Kolkata, and I would recommend him to my friends, family.

My daughter payel bhattacharyya is a Thallassaemia patient. Dr. Amitava Ghosh, surgeon operated her laproscopic gall stone surgery very efficiently and excellently. I visited Dr Ghosh for my mother for gall bladder stone removal as my house physician recommended him. No doubt I can say now he is the best in his work. He explained everything how surgery will happen and how it may or may not affect our body. Surgery started right on time and ends on time. Best of the lot the medications given healed my mother in a week. And till now which is going to be 20 days he regularly follow up to check on my mothers health and condition. Surgery wise is best and even it became little complicated but he has done it smoothly. I highly recommend him to all the patients.
