Dr. Arthi Mohankumar is a vitreoretinal surgeon at Rajan Eye Care Hospital, Chennai, India. She completed her MS in Ophthalmology from the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Madras Medical College, Chennai, followed by advanced training in medical and surgical retina at Aravind Eye Hospital, Pondicherry.She was awarded the MVK Iyer Best Outgoing Student Gold Medal for outstanding academic performance during her MBBS.Dr. Mohankumar is a Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology (FICO), a Fellow of the All India Collegium of Ophthalmology (FAICO) in Retina and Vitreous, a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS Edin), and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCS Glasg).Her clinical and research interests include diabetic retinopathy, retinopathy of prematurity, and ocular inflammation. She has published over 80 peer-reviewed articles in indexed journals and contributed to 10 book chapters. She is an active academician and has participated in numerous international, national, and state conferences as an invited speaker.
