Dr. S R Shukla

Dr. SR Shukla is a renowned dermatologist having a rich experience of more than 41 years. He is MD from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He has the honor of serving as Consultant Dermatologist to the former President of India. Before joining Fortis Escorts Hospital, Jaipur, he worked as Senior Professor and Head of Dermatology at SMS Medical College, Jaipur. He headed the Dermatology Department for 32 years in various Medical Colleges of Rajasthan. He has also worked as Medical Superintendent at JLN Medical College, Ajmer for 6 years. He was awarded Commonwealth Medical Fellowship and worked at Institute of Dermatology and St Thomas Hospital, London for one year. The Government of Rajasthan conferred on him prestigious State Merit Award for excellent research work in Dermatology. He has 18 other awards to his credit. Acne, Vitiligo, Psoriasis and allergic skin disorders are some of the fields of special interest to him. He has written a book on Pediatric Dermatology. He delivered IADVL National Oration in 2005 at Hyderabad and delivered many guest lectures at different fora. He served as an expert for the selection of Professors/Dermatologists at UPSC and other state selection bodies. He was Post Graduate examiner in various universities of India and Nepal. He worked as MCI inspector for recognition of MD Degree in different Medical Colleges. He was an elected Senator at the University of Rajasthan for 3 years.
