I have undergone patella surgery 5 months back. Recently developed some infection issues followed by swelling in knee. Consulted a couple of Ortho specialist in jaipur but was not happy. Dr. Aditya Soral has a pleasing personality and listened patiently to my history of tendon and joint pain. He explained everything well and gave effective treatment, which helped my pain resolve. The clinic environment and staff were good, though the wait time was a bit longer than expected. Overall, I was satisfied and would recommend him to others.

Dr Soral is very different from the quintessential Indian doctor ! After seeing several impressive certificates and gold medals in his office from AIIMS, Brisbane, Australia, SMS etc, I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into Dr Sorals cabin to find a young and handsome doctor clad in jeans with a smile on his face and arms extended for a hand shake ! With folded arms, he patiently sat and heard each word as I told him about my 9 year long history of several orthopaedic ailments (I am used to doctors starting to write the prescription when I am not even half way through my symptoms/ problems). My immediate issue was a 6 month old leg and hip pain for which I have tried everything under the sun but my pain has only gone from bad to worse. He concluded with a diagnosis which was different from what I had been told by earlier doctors. I have a bad habit of doing my own extensive research (thanks to Google :)) and in hindsight, the pieces of the puzzle seem to be falling in place *** *** ********* ***** ** ** **** ********* It correlates with all my symptoms of the last 6 months (some which I forgot to mention when I met him). It's not a very common ailment and a lot of research seems to have been done only in the last 10/15 years.

Here's to all those people who believe older doctors are better ! The younger doctors, I feel, keep themselves abreast with the latest developments in the medical field which is so important.

Dr Soral did not advise me any MRI/ X-ray surprisingly ( a relief since I already have a huge pile of MRIs and x rays for other issues) and did not give me pain killers etc either. Instead he advised me physiotherapy and laid out realistic goals for the days ahead. He also explained the technical aspects of my problem very well. At the end of the meeting, I felt very confident and positive and thought maybe my search for a good orthopaedic doctor in Jaipur had finally come to an end. I am a slipped disc patient as well and moved to Jaipur from Bombay 9 years ago. I had great doctors in bombay but had struggled to find a good ortho in Jaipur. Am hoping Dr Soral would have the answers to all my ortho problems.

To end, would like to mention that the only thing with Dr Soral which is typical of doctors is the handwriting : it's not very easy to understand :). Otherwise, with his empathetic attitude and medical prowess, he seems like a great doctor and am glad Jaipur has doctors like him.

I am confident I will be able to get rid of my ailments finally and shall keep this forum updated.
