My mom aged 69 suffered a brain stroke towards end of Feb 2019 which impacted her speech centers in the brain. My 84-year-old father suffered a heart attack, which caused speech loss. When I took him to Dr. Veena, he could only whisper, and we tried very hard to hear him speak. Dr. Veena suggested two sessions per week for two months to begin with. At that time, I could not foresee how he would be able to speak in a louder voice. I took consulting from Dr. Sukhrani for my daughter Rudraa Jain for about 8 months, at the time when I had approached the Doctor, my daughter was 4 years old but had difficulty in speaking many words clearly and infact she still comfortable using sign language to talk to us, Doctor examined her and suggested speech therapy sessions and from the first week itself we could she the difference and by the time we ended the sessions, my daughter has learnt to speak almost every word and easily constructing full sentences. She comes across as an expert in her field and know how to tackle even the difficult of child.

Dr. Sukhrani is an absolute professional and never we had to wait from the time we were called at and she made sure that all sessions happened in time, she was also kind enough to accommodate our request for change in appointments but never reduced the number of sessions.

She was very patient throughout the sessions and her methods were very effective. It never felt like one was undergoing a serious treatment, just a few normal fun conversations with her coupled with some corrections here and there and you won't remember that you ever had a problem.

Dr. Veena Sukhrani started working on my little one when she was under 2 years old- Speech is one of the major areas of concern for children with Down Syndrome. It was a matter of weeks before we started hearing new sounds, and before the year was over Anisha had started mouthing her first few words. There has been no looking back ever since, and my 11 year old is now a non stop chitter chatter machine.
