We started the speech therapy of our son, Kosh in Aug, 2022. In first meeting, Dr Lohiya came across as very gentle and considerate person. He listened to our concerns, offered advice and assured us that the kid is not suffering from autism or any related disorder. He said it will need some minor intervention and things will turn around in 1 month and Max 2 months. This assurance took me by surprise as i heard therapies are not so definitive but we trusted him as his clinic is opposite to our society and we heard good words from some people.So, the course had daily 1:1 session and charges were 13,000 rupees per month. But soon, at the end of each month, he started making excuses like kid is not coming daily, though the only break we took was for 1 week due to our second pregnancy. He will start pushing for fees from 25th of each month but didn't give us any feedback. When we asked, he don't have definite points on treatment and future plan. He didn't involved us in any therapy sessions. Not to my surprise, he refuted later that he didn't make any promise of improvement in 1-2 months.We later consulted other doctors *** **** **** **** *********** ** ********** ** ** ***** *** ********** *** ************ *** ******* ** ******* ** *** ********* Then, we realised that we were getting misled by Dr. Lohia to some extent by not honestly sharing the treatment plan and making false claims.We stopped treatment in fourth month. He didn't asked for any feedback. When we asked for our kids activity book, it was all torn out with blank pages removed. This was the extent of unprofessionalism.I hope this story will help other parents to not get misled by sweet words and claims. This is the first time i am writing this sort of feedback because in my past 6 years in gurgaon, i have always found doctors here very honest and professional. This is the exception and thought to share it with other parents.
