Dr. Akshay Arora (Physiotherapist)

I met Dr. Akshay in November 2018 for the treatment of sciatic nerve pain due to which I couldn’t walk for almost 2 months. Before that, I was diagnosed with an L4-L5 Slip disc problem in 2015. The condition was so severe that I took treatment from two Physiotherapists and consulted 5 Orthopaedics but to no avail. The neuro consultant of Medanta recommended me to meet a neurosurgeon as the medicines were not showing any effect. Luckily, I got his reference and shared the complete case study with him with the prevailing condition.

I had a Golfer’s elbow problem. What I like about the treatment is instead of temporarily fixing the issue Dr Akshay explained me the reason the problem arises in first place. My posture was not correct, lacked strength in core, upper back etc leading to too much stress on arms during workouts. Had series of session which fixed such issues with physiotherapy+strengthening workout suggested by him. As a result elbow problem gone, my posture is better then before and I have gained key insights on strengthening my body

I consulted Dr. Arora for pain in both my knees (caused by Grade 2 and 3 meniscus tears). While my pain is 90% better than what it was when I met him, I am grateful to Dr. Arora for correcting my posture, teaching me exercises to strengthen my core and limbs, and teaching me how not to put pressure on the knees while walking. He explained the issues to me in a clear fashion. To alleviate my knee pain caused by meniscus tears, he used the ANF therapy, which he pioneered in India. The said therapy has been very beneficial for me in reducing the pain in my knees. I highly recommend Dr. Arora as he stands out among physiotherapists for his knowledge, professionalism, friendly nature, and commitment to his patients.
