I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Sumiti Mehta. From the moment I walked in, she made me feel completely comfortable. She listened to my concerns very patiently and took the time to understand everything in detail instead of rushing through the appointment. I really appreciated how calm and compassionate she was throughout our conversation and it felt like she genuinely cared about helping me, not just treating the symptoms. She explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure I understood the next steps. It is rare to find a doctor who combines such professionalism with such a kind and caring approach. Sexually active 27 year old here, this review is going to be as thorough as the doctor is so brace yourselves.

I started bleeding heavily at random, met a doctor who suggested a surgical diagnostic procedure: hysteroscopy with endometrial biopsy. Freaked me out with all sort of cancer talk because my endometrium was thick, got a lot of tests done. Turned out I was pregnant and miscarrying. (Shit happens, still paid for the unnecessary cancer marker tests though lol)

She instantly suggested a D&C and that I should get admitted. Was snarky the whole time. Her choice of treatment didn’t sit with me. Since I was already miscarrying I believed oral medication to ensure it’s all cleaned out is a plausible option.

I decided to meet Dr. Sumiti for her opinion, not only was she really open about the situation but also very very comforting at the same time. She came from the premise that we’re all adults living our independent lives and there’s nothing wrong with being sexually active but of course, protection and how it can fail was also discussed.

She was super thorough with taking all my medical history, she DID NOT downplay PCOS like most gynaecologists who ask you to just lose weight and come back when you want to conceive.

She considered the fact that I was young and herself wanted to avoid a surgical procedure, she explained both the options plus their risks and was confident that oral medication was the best route forward in my case. She’s ********* ************* *** possesses unmatched expertise. (The other doctor I met was the director of obstetrics & gynae at one of the top hospitals in Gurgaon and she couldn’t even read my ultrasound report right, in the end it was just her trying to take another case to her hospital)

I went with Dr. Sumiti’s advice and was thankfully able to avoid a surgical procedure.

No extra tests or unnecessary medications were prescribed.

She also allows your body’s natural rhythm to exist in her treatment plan for you which is great. Most doctors just drug you up.

I remember I was scared about all of this and she saw through that.

I think there are very few doctors who are truly on your side and genuinely care about your situation, she is one of them and every woman needs a doctor like her.

Also, she always responds if you WhatsApp her even if it’s something small. I know I did during the week I was on pills, but she was there. I’m all good now and seeing her for PCOS treatment.

So if you want a to feel relieved, positive and in good hands after your consultation, you have to meet with Dr. Sumiti. So glad to finally have a go to gynaecologist.

She is a wonderful doctor and i was so comfortable with her because of her nature and the way she was explaining each and everything not in a rush i would definitely recommend her to others .

I remember I was looking for a gynecologist for my wife last year on practo, after we found that we (now proud parents) were pregnant and I feel it is one of my best decisions of life that I chose doctor Sumiti among others. It was our first pregnancy and doctor Sumiti explained to us in very detail about how this process is going to be, various timelines, precautions, do/don't, how soon we should visit her in every semester, emergency signs and what to do if it comes, role of expecting father during the course, what to expect on any day, various tests to be done. We had the best experience with the doctor Sumiti during this journey until she gifted the best present of our life, our son. She has become our family doctor now. I knew Dr Sumiti as our neighbour however my recent abdomen pain helped me to find how talented, caring and an expert in her field. As it was clear from my ultrasound and TVS reports that I had developed a large left ovarian cyst measuring 6.5 cm, so I decided to undergo laproscopy surgery for uterus removal. My surgery was done by Dr Sumiti and the whole process went very smoothly. She is very friendly, caring and is blessed with skilled surgical hands. The facilities at CK Birla hospital are also state of the art. I had this appointment as a follow up appointment post surgery and I am very happy and thankful of Dr Sumiti and very proud to have such a neighbour.

I am extremely lucky to have come across her at the right time as the treatment and advice given by her helped me resolve my issues immediately. She is very patient, kind, and professionally her knowledge and experience are beyond appreciation and can be felt in absolutely painless procedures which she explains thoroughly to her patients.

A complete life saver during COVID. I was down with COVID pneumonia recently and on oxygen. Her special care and advice literally helped save my life.
