Dr. Soumyesh N Bhaduri

Dr (Major General) Soumyesh Nath Bhaduri is a MBBS of Armed Forces Medical College Pune, having graduated in 1983. He was commissioned as a doctor in the Army Medical Corps in Dec 1983, served for 37 years and retired as a Major General. He has served as Regimental Medical Officer with an Infantry Battalion on the Siachen Glacier, amongst other places. He was trained in Orthotics and Prosthetics while being posted at Artificial Limb Centre Pune. He subsequently trained at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi during study leave in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation(PM&R) (1994-96) and subsequently got PhD in the subject from the same institute (2001).He has been the HOD of the department of PM&R at the Army Hospital (research & Referral) New Delhi. He has tenanted a number of important professional and senior medical administrative responsibilities while in the Armed Forces and was awarded Vishisht Seva Medal by the President of India in 2019. His areas of interest are, Neurological and Geriatric Rehabilitation besides Orthotics and Prosthetics. He is a member of Indian Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (IAPMR), which honoured him with Dadhichi Award in the year 1999. Dr. Bhaduri presently serves Serensa Healthtech and Healthcare, a State of the Art Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation health care establishment as Medical Director and Physiatrist, in Gurugram.
