My father lives in Dehradun and he recently had an episode of silent heart attack. Upon consulting the doctors in Dehradun, he was asked to get hospitalised immediately with very little clarity provided to us by the doctors on what they were planning to do (they just told us that he will need to be hospitalized for next few days). Our confidence in the cardiac doctors there was very shaky and we started exploring possible options in Delhi/Gurgaon. One of our friends gave us Dr. Chugh' reference, and luckily we got the video consultation from Dr. Chugh the same day. More that half of our tension got relieved the moment we spoke to the doctor, he listened to all our concerns very patiently and prescribed certain medicines that helped my father get instant relief from the uneasiness that he was experiencing. Dr. Chugh was available on phone/WhatsApp till late at night to answer whatever queries that came up that day. We got our father to Gurgaon the very next day and Dr. Chugh was kind to get all the logistics arranged for my father's angiography the very next day. Owing to father's heart condition, a Bypass surgery was recommended. Dr. Chugh then himself coordinated with a very reputed cardiac surgeon and made our experience of getting the bypass surgery so seamless that we just can't thank him enough. We really felt that Dr. Chugh was more like a family in this entire journey and he continues to follow up with us regularly to check upon my father's health. I was having shortness of breath on walking 100yards. I approached Dr Sanjay Chugh( Dr Sanjay kumar chugh) a renowned cardiologist. He was very patient, heard me out, examined me and explained that this could be because of a blocked vessel supplying the heart. To check that he wanted to do a walking test( treadmill test). The test showed bad changes. He explained to me that it would be important to perform a coronary angiogram to check for any blockage. He performed my angiography via back.of my hand. It showed blockage in front artery of my heart. He then explained that this needed to be opened immediately by a stent( angioplasty). He was so reassuring that I accepted. He was so good. He did the angioplasty also via back.of my hand. I felt nothing. No pain.. I could sit up ,eat , go to toilet immediately after angioplasty and went home the next day. I walk 6 km now .
