Dr. Sumeet Arora

Dr. Sumeet Arora completed a three-year fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology from SUNY, USA, which gave her rich clinical experience in Pediatric Endocrine and Diabetes clinics catering to children (newborn to 18 years of age) with hormonal disorders. Her experience in Diabetes clinics included managing children with type 1 or type 2 Diabetes. In type 1 Diabetes, the newest insulin administering technology including sensor-augmented insulin pumps, closed-loop hybrid insulin pumps or even traditional ways of using multiple daily injections were used. The Endocrinology clinics were busy clinic including hormonal conditions including managing puberty related problems like early onset of puberty or delayed puberty, menstrual problems in girls, polycystic ovarian disease in adolescents, puberty induction in Turner syndrome and other puberty related hormone deficiencies; managing thyroid conditions in children, growth hormone deficiency and steroid hormone deficiencies (adrenal insufficiency) or excess (Cushing syndrome), medical management of pituitary tumors. Dr. Sumeet Arora is also a Consultant in Pediatric Endocrinology at Artemis Hospital. Her key responsibilities at Artemis Hospital include: • Development of protocols and growth of the division of Pediatric Endocrinology. Conducting Continuing Medical Education seminars for Pediatricians and at the regional Indian Academy of Pediatric meetings.• Endocrinology core curriculum training of Pediatric residents and conducting teaching rounds of admitted patients with endocrinology consults. • Mentoring Pediatric residents for conducting literature review and hypothesis-driven research.
