I always try to provide my patients with an advise which follows Best Medical Ethics, and, also should be Logically & Scientifically "Relevant".

I always try to provide my patients with an advise which follows Best Medical Ethics, and, also should be Logically & Scientifically "Relevant".

The above Story is so much full of contradictions and suppression of facts that I thought it was better to respond and make things CLEAR.

Gentleman comes after getting an "elaborate Health Check Up" done on his own fancy and place. Which didn't include any relevant Test for Men's Health, Except a Testosterone value Which was slightly above normal. Only on the basis of which the gentleman wanted me to tell him about his (Reproductive & sexual) Men's Health.

Therefore a detailed history was taken and it took me good 10 Minutes of Questioning to see what could cause abnormality of Testosterone. When I could dig out a History of Taking FINASTERIDE for Hair Fall. Which causes Total Testosterone to remain normal but stops its conversion to Dihydro-testosterone, which is the Active form of Testosterone. There is a Big Law Suite going on in USA by unsuspecting patients who took this for Hair loss but suffered Sexual and Reproductive weakness caused by FINASTERIDE. So it was but Logical not to rely on Total Testosterone, But also to ask for Free(active) Testosterone values also. Logic of this was explained to him, But the disappointment was because so much has been spent on (many irrelevant) Test of his own will , now I have to give him my opinion only on those irrelevant test, which was not possible. Again the whole logic explained to the patient, and the whole process, anybody can guess "Lasted a good while", not just 1or 2 min.

However I am totally SATISFIED with my Relevant Advise and Wish him well.
