My mother tested positive for Covid in August 2020. She developed very high level of blood pressure and sugar. It was difficult to see a doctor personally during that time given that she was tested positive for Covid and we do not live in a Metro city where quality healthcare is available. We started searching for a good Internal Medicine Dr online and came to know about Dr Rajiva Gupta. We scheduled an online appointment and started consulting with him over video calls. In November 2020 my mother became very sick. We called Dr Rajiva and he picked up our call despite being out of India. He saw my mom over video and advised us to admit her immediately to a hospital. We were able to take my mom to a hospital and treat her on time before her condition could get worse. We truly thank Dr Rajiva for responding to us on time and help us save my Mom’s life that night.

My Mom again became sick in July 2022. She had fever with chills. We thought she may have viral fever. Next day her blood pressure started dropping and I texted Dr Rajiva. Last month when I could not get any relief from my low grade fever and dry cough problem I contacted my family doctor after a week , who advised me to go for Dengu , Malaria, typhoid and Covid tests . Surprisingly all tests found negative . He gave me two does of medicines which I eat for 6 days but I could not get any relief and my fever start crossing 100 and also there was no relief from cough.

On my wife’s advise I contacted Dr Rajive Gupta whom I met two months back and took advise for my blood shugar treatment . I went to his Gurugram clinic . It just took 15 minutes he discussed with me everything and advise to go for CT scan of chest , Ultrasound. Urine and blood culture and CRP test. When test results came it was found that there is a infection in my lungs and CRP was found 28 .

Dr Gupta started antibiotic even before tests results published. After the test results he gave me one more antibiotic . When I asked Dr what will happen now he told me not to be worry at all and no need of taking any further medicine and you will be alright in few days .

After 15 days now I am fully recovered , no fever , no weakness , No dry cough and my CRP report came 3.8.

Medicine is as much as an art as much it is deemed to be science. I had always believed in this and my recent experiences with illnesses, multiple checkups, doctor visits, hospitalization, and subsequent recovery have strengthened my belief. What three Doctors, across three cities, could not diagnose, Dr Rajiva Gupta was able to do so in his first meet. Perhaps being a generalist, and too an experienced one, helped. However, what will always remain with us, based on our three visits to his clinic in March & April 2025 and multiple phone calls and WhatsApp messages, will be his pleasing demeanor (welcoming with a smile, politeness), willingness to give time to patient and listen to them (patient get the satisfaction of having properly explained their condition), punctuality (respecting his and patient's time; not making patients wait), care for patients (regularly checking on progress after treatment; connecting with others if needed; his kindness), and most importantly his grasp over the field of medicine and simple-to-complex bodily functions (what the specialists could not diagnose in my case, he was able to take a comprehensive approach and suggested tests that led to eventual correct diagnosis).

I consider myself extremely lucky, and truly consider him an agent of God, that I was finally directed to him having suffered from persistent dry cough and fever for more than 20 days. Three doctors considered that to be an pulmonary issue, and gave multiple antibiotics, while it turned out to be a gastrointestinal issue. Dr Gupta is a wonderful doctor and more than that is a wonderful human being. We first consulted him in 2021 during covid second wave where not only did he support us through difficult times by keeping us motivated, but also through great experience and sharp findings which helped cure some really complex post covid health problems, some of which would have required hospitalisation. But we were able to follow home treatment that too with Rajiva Sir constantly connected over the phone on the progress.

Fast forward to last week in Jan 2023, things started with headache to high bp and very low body temperature due to which there was a panic and a sense of urgency. We contacted doctor outside of his visiting hours, but due to the urgency, he promptly allowed us to visit his residence and get diagnosis. Thanks to his expertise, his medicines reduced the symptoms quickly where we would have visited hospital otherwise.
