Aparna Gupta Mam has been my psychologist in helping me fight against my OCD. Before I met her, I was convinced that it is impossible for me to come out of this OCD's loop of thoughts. She is experienced and intellectual, and has powerfully positive vibes. Even though I had failed in initial few tasks against my ocd, she still supported and assured me that together we will get over it. She did hard to investigate about my OCD and found the solutions, and systematically assisted me in first completing smaller goals then target bigger ones. Finally, quite soon I successfully faced and won my ocd fears. It was a wonderfull experience, and every part of that entire process was necessary in me overcoming my OCD. I'm really indebted to her that I'm living the life, which God has gifted me, in a wonderful way and enjoying the moments. It was a paradigm shift between my previous lifestyle of continous worrying and being anxious all the time, to the life of excitement, adventures and taking pleasures of life, fearlessly. It was my first time seeking for counseling and it was great. The thing I like most about Miss. Ritu is that she finds lots of innovative methods to address one's issue. She has a pandora box for ideas. Simplifying the complex theoretical text with most relevant Analogy. I had codependency issue and she kept perfect balance between counselor and supporter. It was never about one hour only. She was available most of the time through text and call. And whenever she finds relevant material, she just share it. She is extremely non judgmental person and open minded to lot of things. Sometimes one might feel like they were doing wrong based on the moral values set by society but she will make you realize that it's extremely normal. She is very patient person. Lot of times I lashed on her but she stayed by my side. She also scolded (sarcastically) me or disagreed with me when she should and that made me respect her more. Prior to counseling I was afraid that my decision making ability would be challenged as they will direct me to do things. But when I started counseling with her the baton of decision making was always in my hand. She always ask solution of a problem and when I am not able to give appropriate solution then only she suggests it. She is like a wisp in a dark scary night. To give you company that you are not alone in this and guide you out of this abyss.

Dr Aparna is a very experienced doctor in couples therapy. She has helped me and my husband a lot in last year. It was a complete breakdown and point of no return. She broke down the problem into parts and then took us through the same issue by issue. We had individual sessions and couple sessions one after another and our individual therapy was also going on in tandem. She helped break resistances and make commitments.

She made some reality checks acceptable and also helped with anger management. She also works in a very scientific way with models and theories which are applicable and reflective.

I would recommend seeing her for any of the psychological problems one is facing and if one is low on self awareness. She will simplify. She is highly confidential and impartial. I would also recommend her for severe depression cases. Thanks Aparna. You save lives :)

Ma'am is extremely friendly. U never felt like I am talking to a person who's job is just to cure me . She is the best friend or elder sister I never had . She is so friendly and calm. If I stand here confidentiality then it is because of ma'am . She always guided me trough the right track. I lost hope of a good life . Ma'am was the one who showed me the way to it .
