I do not recommend the doctor

the doctor was friendly and clinic was well equipped but she suggested root canal for a 6 year old kids simple tooth pain as her first solution...that did not sit well as definitely root canal is not the solution at the first go and that too for a kid

Tooth pain that requires medication for relief is a condition that requires pulp therapy irrespective of age. It is being done for kids as young as 1.5 years routinely. That's what pediatric dentists do. Any other treatment (simple fillings for simple toothache) done in cases like this lead to treatment failure in long term and would eventually require RCT, even extraction no matter what. Incomplete removal of decay followed by filling is a procedure that is easily done by even a general dentist or someone who doesn't want to go into the complexity of doing RCT for a child at the same time, making patients and parents happy. Nevertheless, I hope that you’re satisfied with whatever treatment has been provided for Vaagmi. I wish you well...
