Zirconium crown grinding, is it ok?
Hii sir, Recently I had a tooth grinded because of tooth decay and a zirconium cap is placed over it, but the bite is NOT OK, earlier I had a zirconium crown for another tooth, it was perfect from the moment it was placed, but this time it had given me severe jaw pain and headache for the first 7 days because of uneven bite, it's been 14 days the new crown was put , and I can surely feel the unevenness in the bite. What should I do Doctor, I heard grinding zirconium crown is not a good option, then how can we resolve this unevenness in biting. Is it possible without any grinding / injury/loss. Or grinding is required? Thankyou.

HIII.....you are having such a symptoms in your teeth after placement of zirconium crown because there may be a high point in the new crown ..what ever the clinic is zirconium will have minimum 5 years warranty..so instead of grinding you can just go and replace your crown with new one till you are satisfied...
Next Steps
you can just go to the clinic in which you have undergone treatment and ask them for new crown and not grinding because grinding will lead to rough surface of crown .
Health Tips
the main advantage of placing zirconium crowns is they have warranty ..so you can just undergo new crown treatment

Your pain might be due to increased crown height. Bite adjusments can be done by grinding your zirconium crown and it is advisable. Crown should not be too high or it should nt be grinded too much. It should be in normal occlusion and it should not give u any kind of disturbances or interfernce while chewing.
Next Steps
visit your dentist and get it corrected as soon as possible.

You need to get the zirconium crown height adjusted. After this the doctor needs to send the crown for reglazing. Otherwise your opposite tooth will be damaged. Please correct your bite problems as soon as possible because otherwise you can get jaw joint problems
