Hi doctor, Instead of zincovit drops we gave syrup for 7 months old child for past 2 months(0.5ml per day).Extremely worried about it.Pls help.we found his urine n motion smells bad .is this Becoz of syrup?had it affected his stomach?

Hi Mam. Nothing to worry... Zincovit syp is same a drops. In fact syrup is nothing but a diluted version of drops... She would not have received any vitamins from 0.5 ml of syrup... Stool smell is bad in many kids... Urine smell may be bad due to poor water intake or sometimes infection... Pls see a nearby Pediatrician if urine smell does not improve after increasing fluid intake..

Next Steps

Can start on Zincovit drops 0.5 ml once daily after food, till 1 year of age
