Would it be appropriate to put braces
I have always had desire to put braces for my teeth ever since I was in my 20s, now iam 37 yrs old also I have been recently (about a month) diagnosed with diabetes with hba1c 11.5... I have finally gathered courage to put braces. My question is...is it possible to put braces now...

Yes, if you wish to align your teeth, you can go ahead. With age movement of teeth is slow as compared to young onces. But still it creates a lot of change if you undergoes orthodontic treatment.

Alignment is possible now also! Diabetes can weaken your gums.weak gums are not a good candidate for braces.so check with your dentist how is your gum and bone health.if that's good.you are good to go. Take an xray called OPG which does he help in understanding bone health

Yes definitely you can still go for orthodontic treatment, that is putting Braces for desired alignment of teeth.
