Would I know if I had an oral std?????

Hi I recently had sex with this guy we used a condom but I also gave him oral sex without a condom. He is now worried, and saying his penis "hurts" I am not aware of having any oral stds. Is he over paranoid and exaggerating? So I guess my question is ... would I know if I had an oral STD?
