Pizosurgery is new and better then conventional one as it utilizes micro vibrations and ultrasonic frequency to cut the bone , so it is less traumatic as compared to conventional one and also the healing process is faster but again the treatment cost will be higher for pizosurgery .On the other hand conventional method is very frequently done and also not very troublesome as in 7 days the wound will completely heal and it is not a very major procedure so u can go for conventional method as well.

Treatment option depends upon several factors such as depth of the tooth position,angulation of the tooth, proximity of the tooth with nerve canal underneath etc.
When basic forcep extraction can't be done due to these factors,transalveolar extraction. or if the tooth is position exceptionally deep within the bone sometimes the extraction is done under GA.
When normal (basic forcep extraction) extraction cant be done, peizo surgery is chosen now a days.It has very fast recovery rate.less complications and patient will have a good experience with the whole extraction and recovery process.

The use of piezoelectric surgery for wisdom tooth removal involves the use of a highly specialized toolto section and elevate the wisdom tooth out of the socket, in a "regular" wisdom tooth removal the tooth may be sectioned using a bone drill..the main difference being the trauma to the tooth, socket and associated structures. Piezosurgery is far less traumatic leading to much faster healing, less post operative swelling,less pain and overall a more pleasant experience.
