Yes most likely. The wisdom tooth generally doesn't get complete space to erupt in a straight direction and as a result it erupts or tries to erupt in a tilted direction. Because of its tilting on the adjacent tooth there is continuous food lodgement and pocket formation leading to damage of that adjacent tooth. So it is better to get it removed before it damages the adjacent tooth. You can get a full mouth X ray done or an x ray of that particular area. It would clarify its position and its relation to the adjacent tooth
