Pediatric team is necessary to resuscitate the newborn and examine the gross features.depends on what type of setting you are planning to deliver but it’s definitely recommended to have a pediatric doctor.gynaecologisr will be doing your surgery and he/she can’t attend your baby.

A routine Neonatal check up is necessary to rule out any gross abnormality. Also sometimes Baby may need resuscitation is there is difficult delivery. So on precautionary measures all deliveries should be attended by paediatrician
too depending on the availability.
