Why does heart beats fast during sleep
I have noticed that my wife's heart beats are very fast. They get faster during her sleep. she too noticed this. She is 54 year and he is a housewife. She has no problem of blood pressure, but she has high blood sugar. What are the reasons for heart beating fast during sleep?

Is it only during sleep? Get ecg and 2 d echo done. Check for thyroid profile. Ideally heart beat slows down during sleep. It can increase during dreams or REM type of sleep in normal individuals. If she is diabetic better get examined.
