Hello,
The white patch on your childâs cheek, diagnosed as Pityriasis alba, is a common and harmless condition often linked to dry skin or mild eczema. The fact that it appears brighter could be due to changes in lighting or contrast with surrounding skin. While treatments like Gracecort and Duvitin lotion help reduce inflammation and dryness, it can take several weeks to a few months for the patch to fade completely.
Next Steps
Ensure regular application of a gentle moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated and avoid any harsh soaps. If the patch continues to increase or doesnât improve after consistent treatment, I recommend following up with your dermatologist for reassessment.
