Fruits like Mango, chikku, banana, custard apple, jackfruit and grapes should be avoided by diabetic patients. Fruits like apple, orange, pear, papaya, peach watermelon, pineapple, guava, kiwi, pomegranate can be consumed by diabetic patient but all these should be consumed in limited amounts and most preferably during mid morning or mid evening time. Avoid intake of fruit juices (made of any fruit) and over ripe fruit which contains excessive sweetness. But remember each diabetic is different and one should always consult a qualified dietician or diabetologist for an individualised meal plan
Next Steps
Get an individualised meal plan devised from a qualified dietician and follow that
Health Tips
